Ditto. The only hangup we had was that we had NO plain white wall in our house for a backdrop. My picture was taken in the garage, sitting in front of our white upright freezer! It took each of us several hours to get the photo right. Annoying that our grandson got his on his first try. Once submitted, it took about five minutes for each of us to get the confirmation emails.View attachment 153459

What’s everyone doing for data in Ireland? Trying to decide if I pony up the $100 for US cellular international plan if it will actually work or if I need to look into something else…
We have an international plan with Verizon because we earn free data days to use when we're out of the US. We usually tell our grandkids to call their provider to get a one month add-on of international service. Some people purchase a Sim card; we don't.What’s everyone doing for data in Ireland? This is exactly what Verizon does.AT&T I am paying $12/day for phone and data while in Ireland. Only bills on days I use it
This is exactly what Verizon does.
$12 per day gets you the same plan as you have in home country.
Just make sure your Data Roaming is on.
I have been to Ireland many times before with zero issues…..until I landed in Dublin a few weeks ago. No data.

Not sure why it happened but it happened.
We use wife's phone only. I shut data off on mine. And make no outgoing calls. Occasionally, will check data via wifi at hotel. Otherwise, AT&T will bill $12 for my phone if I use the network. SO we maintain the 12, unless I FU.AT&T I am paying $12/day for phone and data while in Ireland. Only bills on days I use it
As long as you call in and remove it when you return, you'll only be charged for the days you used it. It will all show on the initial bill and then the credit shows on the following one. Worked for DH for an Iceland trip in June, although it was mostly texting. What’s everyone doing for data in Ireland? Good question. I’m not going to Ireland, but when I’ve gone to other places in Europe in Africa, I’ve been able to get plenty of data through Verizon just by upgrading to their $65 a month cellular phone package.
It was comparable service to their international plans, but much more affordable.

I assume the esim will generate a new phone number while using it?First check to see if your plan has some data built in already (My T-Mobile plan has unlimited overseas data with the first 15GB being high speed)
Check to see if your phone supports e-sim (most phones bought in the US since 2021 have it but verify)
On an iPhone, go to Settings > General > About and look for an IMEI number in the Digital SIM section. On Android phones, go to Settings > About > Status info (the steps may differ depending on your phone) and look for an EID.
If you don't have an esim capable phone, I'd recommend getting a SIM when you land and just shop around in whatever area of the airport. Go with a big provider like Vodaphone, Orange, Virgin, DeutscheTelekom (T-Mobile). They all will have similar plans for similar costs.
If it does, get the airalo, or holafly esim app. Airalo I use the most but holafly is simple and always unlimited data and you just pick how many days you want it. Both offer country specific esims and regional esims. Northern Ireland, Scotland, and Wales are generally lumped into the UK esim country for reference. Airalo has 10 days of unlimited data in Europe (42 countries) for $35.
Call back home using an app like facebook messenger or whats app or whatever as these plans don't have calling ability.
