Suarez just homered and put the Mariners in the lead by 2. Well, Castro will do better than Suarez.“A good bet to make”. I want to play poker with Jed. Doofus would go all in on that plucky underdog pair of 5s.

I’m going to wait probably another week or so, then will see if it’s time to shut it down and save the $20 a monthCanceling Marquee as we speak . I can listen to this **** for free
I wonder if Tucker is hurt.I am not getting same vibe from Tucker that I get from Judge, Otani, Acunia, and Harper
I don’t think he is. We expected too much from Tucker. He is right around his career averageI wonder if Tucker is hurt.

Tucker is a good player but he Is not a super star like Otani, Judge, Acunia, and Harper. He is in the same tier as players like Paul Goldschmidt.Exactly the kind of player you want to rent while you limp towards the end of the season. Way to go, Jed.
I hate to break this to you, but Amaya was just transferred to the 60 day DL a couple days ago. He's done.Hopefully Amaya is back soon and I think tonight is his 9th game of his rehab stint so he has to be close. It's getting to the point that you gotta put a spark in this offense somehow. If Caissie is your #1 prospect that was too valuable to trade for a top end starting pitcher then he needs to be the guy that comes up and starts like 3-4 games in a row to give the OF guys a day off or DH. Since June 1 he's hit 13 HR and hit .316 in June and .333 in July. With the trade for Castro there really is no need for Berti now so just DFA him and bring up Caissie. Mo is hitting well too but he's basically a DH right now where Caissie can at least play the field.
Oh and look at this, Hoyer basically admitting buyer's remorse on Soroka

Cubs admit risk in trading for now-injured Soroka
The Cubs acknowledged the risk they took trading for the now-injured Michael Soroka following a recent dip in velocity, saying it was a "good bet to make."www.espn.com
Best hitter he could get was Castro? Is it time to panic yet? Because I think I'm beginning to panic. Team looks TERRIBLE for an extended time now. Jed's deadline "acquisitions" are a major pfft. Offense is broke and Milwaukee is pulling away. Not good.
He is playing right now for the I Cubs.I hate to break this to you, but Amaya was just transferred to the 60 day DL a couple days ago. He's done.
He went 2-4 tonight with 2 RBI for the Iowa Cubs. I bet he is back by the end of this week.I hate to break this to you, but Amaya was just transferred to the 60 day DL a couple days ago. He's done.
Seattle did not break the bank to get Suarez. They probably could have got him for Long and some pitching prospects or some combination of guys that may never pan out of us. Major fail to extend Hoyer before the trade deadline.Best hitter he could get was Castro?
This isn't that hard. Come on man.I hate to break this to you, but Amaya was just transferred to the 60 day DL a couple days ago. He's done.
McGuire is the likely DFA when they activate him. He's filled in well but we can't keep 3 catchers right now. I'm sure they will hope he clears waivers and sign him back but he's played well enough I bet someone will claim him. It's retroactive to his injury date. The move was to allow a spot to open on the 40 man roster
The Cubs FO is a cheapskate. Instead of shopping for good products, our FO digs through bargain bins hoping to find something good or slightly damaged products at good priceSeattle did not break the bank to get Suarez. They probably could have got him for Long and some pitching prospects or some combination of guys that may never pan out of us. Major fail to extend Hoyer before the trade deadline.
Likely. We need to keep an arm in the bullpen over McGuire.McGuire is the likely DFA when they activate him. He's filled in well but we can't keep 3 catchers right now. I'm sure they will hope he clears waivers and sign him back but he's played well enough I bet someone will claim him.
