One of the most intelligent posts I have read on all these issues.I'm pro beer sales.
Pro not letting people leave at half time and pro not using volunteer organizations run the concessions.

I different question could be, what does JP know that many ADs around the country don’t In regards to this topic? What makes ISU different?Does Jamie know more than you or anyone who continues to complain about this? Asking for a friend
But they're profits.
The goal is to make money for WWC and not have the slobs buy cheaper beer inside JTS.If the goal is to make money, and it is, having one option of one craft beer at a premium price is about the worst possible way I can think to go about it....
And fish sandwich specials at fast food restaurants, and backing into their parking stalls for mass. I kid, I kid.
Sell Ames Lager. But also sell as much Busch Light as possible. If the goal is to make money, and it is, having one option of one craft beer at a premium price is about the worst possible way I can think to go about it....
Concessions in most stadiums are run fine with “volunteer organizations” - if they have proper training by the concessions operator, have competent supervision, and plenty of food inventory throughout the game.I'm pro beer sales.

Let’s say profits are ~$500k-$1 mil. People have to shift their mindset from “well that barely makes a dent” to “that can help land/keep a Joshua Jefferson/Rocco Becht”.$100,000 profit(guestimate) per game. What ever it is, it will add up over the years.
Would love to see the numbers on minor, major and division 1 revenue sports that don't sell beer in their stadiums. IT has to be just us and BYU at this point, right?
If they are going to keep jacking up donation and ticket prices while the games stretch to 4 hours, at least throw us a bone and allow beer sales.
I mean if that's the only criteria then they'd be right, obviously @Bipolarcy is dumb since just because someone wants to drink during a game doesn't automatically mean they can't go without it.If someone really believes that a person is an alcoholic because they can’t go 3 hours without booze
Yeah, we keep hearing this, but wouldn’t $1 million help? I mean, I personally could care less, but too say it’s insignificant but then ask the masses to buy a pizza and a 6 pack of Ames Lager, because “it all adds up” is a bit hypocritical. We need money, so exhaust all sources.Again, profits are small marginally at best.
Exactly. If you're going to sell it, you sell the whole spectrum. Seltzers, ciders, the whole way.Sell Ames Lager. But also sell as much Busch Light as possible.

UNI is clearing $350-400k a year with 1/6th the football attendance and 1/3rd the basketball attendance.
A restaurant? Seriously? Yes, I've been to a restaurant where they serve alcohol and no, not everyone is falling down drunk and tipsy. But I've also been to a sports bar that doubles as a restaurant and everyone is absolutely falling down drunk and/or tipsy. You're comparing apples and oranges in one of the most outrageously stupid posts I've ever witnessed.Screen name checks out.
Also, do you ever go to a restaurant that serves alcohol? Is everyone falling down drunk and tipsy?
