Where is everyone staying?
We paid about $300/night for the UConn trip. Not that bad considering location, etc. You are not going to get a $100 Super 8 in Manhattan. I looked and it was average of $442 for 12/28-12/31 (3 nights). That's pricey, but the location is prime. -

If the team is staying at the Sheraton they will enjoy it. Great location. About six blocks south of the park, six blocks north of Times Square, right near Broadway shows, all things a team of dudes in the 18-22 range would look for. ;) -

Flying into Newark.
If your group is large enough, get a car service. We took one from EWR into the city and back for the UConn trip. With five people it was worth the $ and quicker than the train. -
