I don't think you can force rivalries like that. Penn State hasn't developed a rivalry with big 10 schools even though they have been in a conference for like 30 years. West Virginia hasn't really formed a rivalry with the big 12 schools (outside of kinda us) after not playing Pitt and Virginia... -

I am fine with keeping it at every year, but I would definitely prefer doing this than just straight up cancelling it. Being able to play different P5 teams during our non conf would definitely be nice, but I still want to play Iowa fairly often. -

This is more or less what I feel. Yeah it is going to mess with college athletics, but having at least some of the money that is generated by the athletes go toward the athletes is the way to go imo. They do get food and scholarships, but how valuable is a degree in "communication" or something... -

I don't think this is going to happen. You don't see tight ends or RBs "matador" blocking for their QBs in the NFL, even though they are paid significant less. There can be locker room issues that stem from a player being a diva or an asshat, but not simply from one getting paid more than the other. -

It's not our obligation, just like it isn't a booster's obligation to donate money to the school, but it is something we can do to attract athletes in a small way
