    It did set us up for a very nice year the following season. With Naz back we actually had a pretty deep roster. Monte Matt Naz Deonte Solo D-Jack NWB Bowie Holden That was a very solid team. Damn shame we didn't beat Purdue.

    The results shouldn't be completely thrown out, but basing the conference strength entirely on it shouldn't happen either. The Big 12 metrically was by far the strongest conference all year long. Towards the end of the year though, and it's been brought up, teams had injuries that plagued them...

    Jamal Shead getting hurt was a big factor. They make the title if that doesn't happen and they would've matched up very well with UCONN's athleticism much better than Purdue did.

    Connections with their current or former coaches and also Otz and other coaches can smell the ******** from a mile away. When they meet with these guys in person or even in a zoom call, they're able to tell very quickly by the answers they give whether or not they'll be the right fit.

    We're being projected by nearly every outlet to be preseason top 10. That doesn't mean anything as far as how we'll do at the end of the season, but obviously the national media is high on us next year and that's before we've even rounded out our full roster.

    We are currently projected to start the season top 10, we bring back our entire core, and if we land Jefferson this weekend, our additions will be better than the subtractions sans losing Ward.

    He's a career 60% FT shooter, which isn't good but isn't awful either. His freshman year he was 64% and that dipped a bit last year to 58%. I think his unorthodox/ugly form is what makes his FT's less appealing.

    I went back yesterday and watched the highlights of the KU game, which was January 27 and it was pretty cool to think we only lost three more games after that, one of which was the next game @ Baylor.
