This team is 2005-06 reincarnated. 2 elite players and no one else. No defense. No rebounding. Bunch of bi-polar personalities.

Plenty of time to still miss the tournament like that team too.

Monte, Matt, Georges, Abdel used to be the comeback kids back in the day

Any of y'all think we will win in Lawrence now?
Calling it now, but if we squeak in as a bubble team we might play the eventual national champion and be leading them by, say, 5 points with two minutes left when Niang, Morris, Burton, Nader or McKay especially will miss the front end of 1 and 1. The eventual national champ will end up beating us by 5. Just a highlight.

What's funny is that if Niang hits a free throw you people wouldn't be complaining about blowing a lead. You would just say "a win is a win when you are on the road with foul trouble and minus a starter ". It's unbearable reading some of the crap you guys post after a loss.

Win is a win. Loss is a loss.

Looking at 10-8 in the conference now which is good enough for 6th place. Yikes

We are either the "worst of the best" teams in the Big 12....or "best of the worst?"

I hope our best ball comes in March, I guess? Need to figure out how to not piddle leads away....and 1:1 fts to have a shot

The guys that made the trip tonight really battled....Texas Tech played one of the best games they've played this year.

There are games this year that we've lost (and won) that I've came away from disappointed in our team. Tonight was not one of them. We weren't perfect, but we battled hard for 45 minutes, had some horse**** luck go against us, and missed a couple opportunities late.

Hopefully McKay will pull his head out of his *** for the first time all year now...the rest of the guys are starting to get it on defense, and if Jameel buys in we have an opportunity to do some special things over the next month and a half..

This team just does not get it. They get to a point where they could put the game away with smart play, instead they go stupid every time and let other team back in. It will be interesting to hear their post game interviews. NIT

I put this season on Fred! Mental head case players last 2 years (dejean jones and McKay), soft minded, and no depth because he couldn't commit to staying. We will be a better team with prohm at the helm. Will thaw a bit, but better long term.

I agree 100 percent.

No **** we wouldn't. If Niang made both his free throws we wouldn't have blown the lead period.

This exact reason I have a bad feeling about the rest of the season. You can't help, as a team mate, but to have some bad blood against McKay, his ****** attitude cost us this game. I usually don't say anything negative about players, but that's just Bush league of him to put his teammates in this situation. His ****** attitude ****ed us. I hope I'm wrong, but this type of loss can really put us in a tailspin.

Yeah but at the same time, the rest of the regular season means absolutely nothing now. It's done. Get right for the tournament, and pray. Pray alot.

This team is in the tourney... worst case IMO is 9-9 in conference and a 20-11 record with 3 top 10 wins.

You're delusional if you think we're going to the NIT.

Are u kidding me? Its Texas Tech, the same team who has beaten us 3 out of 4 years in that cesspool in front of 2,000 fans. Quite trying to sugarcoat this. This is another horrible, horrible loss.

Why does it seem every team plays their best against us? West Virginia and Baylor cant beat anybody else on the road except us. Now A&M has lost 4 out of 5 against crap competition in the SEC.

Put a fork in this season, get our 9 seed and go home in the first round again.

Texas Tech WTF.... sorry folks, we show up part time. That's the MO of this team. It's why KU has won for so long and we underperform. You have to show up every freaking night. Shorthanded is an excuse. ISU is the better team even without McKay or Naz.

I think it's time to stop thinking its about not showing up and understanding that this just isn't that good of a team. Are there great wins? Yes, but they are at home. In Hilton this is a very good team. On the road, mediocre. This is a 4-6 seed type team that quite frankly doesn't look at this point that they'll be all that dangerous in March. A lot could happen yet and if McKay comes back strong and others are playing their best that could change.
