Texas will tell us a lot. If they play inspired and smart with everyone back? Does this team finally shed its demons and play as one? I'm not optimistic right now but that could just be the sting of yet another loss that should have never happened.
It feels like Prohm is going to have to completely start over. This year is wasted. It is a shame that this will be this group of players's legacy.

This team just does not get it. They get to a point where they could put the game away with smart play, instead they go stupid every time and let other team back in. It will be interesting to hear their post game interviews. NIT

$1000 bet we make NCAA not NIT, put up or shut up.

What's funny is that if Niang hits a free throw you people wouldn't be complaining about blowing a lead. You would just say "a win is a win when you are on the road with foul trouble and minus a starter ". It's unbearable reading some of the crap you guys post after a loss.

As is your pathetic excuse making.

Lemme guess...we're fine? Something how this loss will help motivate mckay? Flashback to our two tourney title wins to sooth any concerns about this years team?

Sorry. We have officially run out of time. Conference is way gone...lose the next 2 which is very possible..we are at what? 17-9?....its not going to happen..but dont act like we wont be near the bubble.

Are u kidding me? Its Texas Tech, the same team who has beaten us 3 out of 4 years in that cesspool in front of 2,000 fans. Quite trying to sugarcoat this. This is another horrible, horrible loss.

This is not the same Texas Tech team from the last 3-4 years...not even close. This Texas Tech team is on the bubble for the NCAA tourney right now.

If you think this is the same Texas Tech team, you clearly haven't watched them much this year...or the previous 3 years for that matter. There's a reason we were only a 2.5 point favorite, and it's not because Vegas thinks we suck.

Did I make an excuse? I stated a fact.

We'll be comfortably in...unless you think a 4-6 seed is 'near the bubble'.

We can be average defensively if McKay is great. Unfortunately, he turned into a crazy chick this year.

-WTF was Nader thinking on his 5th foul? All 5 of his fouls were dumb.
-How do you miss that goaltend call?
-There is nothing more furious to me than missing a front end.
-That bank as the shot clock expired was stupid.

My only hope is that we some how get hot in March (like UCONN 2 years ago) and we put together a run.

Yes but....let me check....nope, he didn't.
(and they were missing a starter too).

At least i can say with much conviction that both this team and our fanbase are bi-polar. Seems some cant handle the ups and downs of a season. Do we look great right now? Certainly not. Is the NCAAs tomorrow? Nope!

Sorry sunshine pumpers, but a pre-season final 4 candidate losing a critical game to a team not projected to make the dance is embarrassing.

Obviously I dont watch alot of Texas Tech games. For one, I dont enjoy watching a bottom feeder team play crap basketball in front of 2,000 fans. Any way you want to spin this, its still a horrible loss. If you feel better by telling yourself we lost to a bubble team go right ahead.

The only reason they are even considered a bubble team is because the field expanded to 68. Now every team 3 games over .500 will be on the bubble. All I have to do is look at their schedule to know what kind of team they are. Was it their non-conference wins over Minnesota or Richmond that make them so good?
