People on here questioning the players' mental toughness when half of this site's membership is ready to throw itself in front of a train when we lose a game. Classic.
Poor effort all around. Disparity in zebra treatment. Losing winnable games. All things that this group of players have done plenty of times before. They'll rebound and get a few more nice wins, and probably lose a few more games, but we'll be in the NCAA tournament for the 5th year in a row. Sucks to not be able to compete for the conference title, but, you know, perspective and all.

This. Both short and long term. We won four straight and proceeded to drop two straight, in games that we could have won despite being against good teams. We got up 25-10 IIRC & proceeded to blow that lead. I just don't think this team has the ability to sustain success to make a run in the tourney.
Niang had as many turnovers as the rest of the team combined.... And McCat had 4.
Morris still has unreal 10 assists to 0 turnovers making him have 39 assists to 2 turnovers in 5 games vs press Virginia. Shot 30 percent tho. Burton led our team in rebounds. Should have played more.

I know a lot will be made of this but their 1 guy didn't touch the ball. That was slingshot off the front of the rim, Nader thought it was going to be an air ball. That's just a bad bounce. The perfect miss on purpose miss not on purpose.
Rebounding, free throws and not enough offense going through Morris. He could've had 20 assists tonight if we ran it through him. Effort wasn't there on the boards at all. Not clearing that last free throw with only goggles on the lane was pathetic.
First round exit this year. Not our year anymore. We have no depth and look dead coming down the stretch of games. No way we have enough gas to get through the tournament. It was a pretty good year I guess.

at the end of the day, the fans care more about Iowa State than these players do, they are essentially hired guns. They will go back to wherever they came from and not give two ***** what happened this year. Like somebody said above, this particular team doesn't deserve the fan support it gets because they care so much less than anybody else in that stadium or has ever spent time on that campus. Enjoy playing six minutes a game in Lebanon next year Jameel.

perhaps if McKay wasn't a cryababy after every game he isn't the focus people wouldn't be calling him out for being a crybaby.
