I think if the guy is going to put up 35 points in a game (I know it was at HS level) then you make room for him to play whatever position works best to allow him to score 35.

Note he wore an Iowa State t-shirt for the photo shoot as well as discussed his academic pursuits. Now if he can continue to be Mr. Excitement or Sledgehammer when we need him, it's going to be a great four years.
It sounds like the team needed some scoring so they put one of their best players in a spot where he can score a ton instead of passing to guys that may not be able to score like they need. Hopefully when he gets here and has multiple scorers around him he'll do fine distributing the ball and scoring when possible.

he won't be a 2 at Iowa State. Fred has called him a pure point guard. The reason his coach moved him off PG was the rest of the team was just standing around too much watching Sledge. He felt the move got the rest of the team more involved in the offense

so if you know that he wont be a two-guard here, and that his isnt a two-guard.... why make the statement in the first place
