Actually I do have one gripe, Norris was terrible. You're a major league catcher, can you please just throw out one freaking runner?
<Sigh>
Go Royals.

A's are in! Next up, Kansas City.

The game was basically their season condensed down to a few hours. Starts out great, couple of bobbles, really gets cranked up, then total collapse. I really wanted them to win because I just don't care about KC one way or another (and they're a Bay Area team). But with the way Oakland played to end this season, they probably didn't deserve to move on. The Royals should have fun being swept by the Angels. Not saying that because I'm bitter, because I'm (mostly) not, rather because I felt like whoever the Angels met in the NLDS was going to get swept, regardless.
It's interesting to note that skipper Melvin still has not won a "winner-take-all" game at Oakland. The losing streak of games where, if they win, they would move to the next round has reached 7. That's just awful. You'd think that streak would end at some point prior to now, but I'm starting to think that maybe it won't end until someone else is helming this ship.
They are just miserable right now. I think we knew this season would be a major step though. I've to think some of those 1 run losses willl start going in the other direction and they are just on the wrong side of the coin right now.
Sonny Gray might be the best pitcher in the game right now.
