Twins with second best record in AL at the break. A really great first half.

Night and day from when this thread started.

At this point, I don't see a reason why they can't be in the Wild Card mix come September.

My friend has a bet with his neighbor where every calendar day the Twins are in last place in the AL Central, the neighbor owes him $5. Every calendar day the Twins aren't in last place, he owes his neighbor $10. I told him it was a dumb bet to take and now he's in position to lose a lot of money.

so I'm interested in this bet. Is it still on?

Agreed, you have to expect some fall off from a handful of players, but hopefully it won't be a complete collapse. Adding Santana to the rotation should help and hopefully Buxton can come back and start hitting the ball.
On a side note, Sano sure is fun to watch.

Twins have 3 @ Oakland, then 3 @ LA Angels

I'd be content with 3-3, but would love 4-2. Then come home to the Yankees who have always given the Twins fits.

Very happy to see Dozier hit one out after the announcers almost forgot he was at the plate. And a nice close out for Perkins.
Can't wait to see what they do in the second half.

Perkins has been terrible after the all star break.

And Twins... start getting some runs with the bases loaded. Damn Yankees.

Obviously tonight was a disaster, but man as a Twins fan I would think that you would at least be happy that the Twins are competent this year. Life's too short to ***** too much about this season, for god's sake.

Fun to see Torii pass Kirby on the HR list tonight. And last night's game was pretty damn fun.

Well, as a Yank fan I picked the wrong night to go to the park. Went last night for the Twins sluggfest and miss Arod hitting three tonight. Three homers in a game is not anything I have seen in person.

This. Twins are better than anyone picked them to be this year. Lots of young guys that hopefully improve even more as they get more games under their belt. Nothing bad happening here.

I am extremely happy with this year. Doesn't mean I can't go online and complain about two very specific flaws.

It's like when Woody fumbled on the goal line against WV a few years back. I was happy as hell we competed but disappointed with the end result.

It's not like blowing this makes the season meaningless.

The first one A-Rod hit tonight had to be one of the longest in the stadium's short history. It was an absolute bomb.
