Fred should of waited for the T-wolves job. At this point give me that young team than the Bulls aging one.

As a Cavs fan it was very very sweet to hear Jalen Rose make a fool of himself talking about GM LeBron and his conspiracy theory that Jones=Napier.

All of those takes were garbage and the entire world was watching and knew they were wrong.

Cleveland fails once again. Trading Wiggs for Love = Fail. And now trading down...I'm just going to call it now = Fail.

Taj Gibson?

He's never been as coveted as TT is right now (and of course was never even close to as expensive)

I know, it just reminds me of the same thing. 8-9 million a year was a lot for a bench guy 4 years ago but lots of teams were coming to the table to drive the price and you wouldn't have guessed it a year prior. I like Thompson, he doesn't strike me as a max guy, yet he's gonna get close. You could feel screwed either way on it, at least LBJ backed it for now.

TT is a better ebounder, but Gibson has a better offensive game than TT

Not so fast. Gibson and TT have similar FG%s, and TT has a higher PPG than Gibson for his career.

Thompson's eFG was 54.7% last year. Gibson's was 50.2%.

Of course you're right TT averages a full rebound and a half more than Gibson and most importantly 3 more ORBs per game more than Gibson.

I don't know about him being GM in Cleveland, but you have to say that he and Wade were basically sort of GMs in Miami together along with Riley obviously.

Jones could be good, who knows, over half the NBA would feel the same way if he's a stud though. Not some huge deal for the Cavs specifically. As long as LeBron they just need 1-2 deadly shooters and 1-2 defenders who will rough people up. That's the key when you have a guy who demands that sort of attention.

*also Jalen Rose is just an all around puke, one of the few players I strongly didn't like even when he was on 'my' team

Ehh, it's not going to be a real max. Like re-signing Love, there is no down side except saving real money. Can't do anything with the cap space and he's a critical piece to the team. And he's only 24 and going into his 5th year which is insane.

Let the Drafting of EUROS BEGIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Screw these college kids here in the USA.

San Antonio's batting average with foreign players is pretty incredible though regardless of how they get them. (not even counting technically foreign Duncan)

I mean, the best players in the world are going to get a lot of say in the team around them because they can recruit guys and they want to play with them.

And they have leverage because teams have to keep them happy.

But to say LBJ was forcing them to draft Tyus Jones is stupid.

If they get better shooters/scorers he's definitely a piece of the puzzle in terms of the rebounder/defender/dirty work guy. Even with Irving healthy, I don't think they had the offensive firepower to dispatch a lot of western conf teams. He can get put backs but he's not part of getting the offense up to the next level. Can't wait to see how their team looks start of next year.

Chris Babb vs RJ Hunter THUNDERDOME two men enter! one man leaves!

I'm guessing it will be the guy with the guaranteed contract.

I bet the Cavs were really hoping Hunter would fall to them at 31
