Usually draft busts were at least understandable at the time but Bennett at #1 made no sense from the beginning. It wasn't a very strong draft but imagine if the Cavs had taken Noel, Oladipo or someone else decent.
Then they wouldn't have sucked enough to get Wiggins and thus wouldn't have been able to trade for Kevin Love. Although I still contend they would have been better off with Wiggins instead of Love long term anyways but that's a whole different conversation...

They would have if they had taken Noel since he didn't play at all his first year.

I really think that depends on what your goals are. First off, people want to act like the Love trade was some sort of disaster for Cleveland even though that team still made it to the Finals and had a decent showing against Golden State despite the awful injury luck they had throughout the playoffs. Second, Wiggins makes more sense if Cleveland cares more about sustaining some sort of success post-LeBron than trying to win it all while LeBron is still at his peak. They clearly care more about the latter.
