My only explanation is rebounding and free throw shooting are skills that translate consistently. It's not like BDJ is a great dribbler either...
They will stash White in Europe to see if he develops a three point shot, nothing more than that.
You're so deliciously mean! I love it.Maybe he takes the girlfriend and he doesn't have to worry about that Goober McCabe in Europe.:twitcy:
I'll be eager to find out if White can make a living off of driving to the basket and flailing
Missed the 2nd round so caught up on the CBS draft ticker. Aaron White: D+ lol
Can't say I loved the Pacers pick of Myles Turner at #11 overall. I was really hoping that Cauley-Stein or Winslow would slip to them. Turner has nice size and skills, but I watched several of his games at Texas. He seems like he might be kind of soft or in love with the three point line, or both. Hope I'm wrong.
I think he could grow into a good player, but right now he's really slight and soft.
I love the lakers taking Russell number 2. This tells me they expect to get a FA big man. This could be Love, Aldridge, D. Jordan, Gasol ect. I would put my guess at either Aldridge or Jordan. I am very excited at the future lineup. Clarkson (all rookie 1st team PG that is a combo guard. Russell (kobe in 2016) who can also play either position. Wes Johnson who is decent but the lakers EXPECT to get Durant once kobe is off the books. Randall who is blowing minds around the league this offseason. Turned into a karl Malone type mid range shooter. Guy balls out. and then whatever 4/5 we pick up with T Black and Hill backing them up.
Russell is the guy I had pegged as the most upside in the draft, I really see the potential for a future headlining star at whatever team he ended up on. However he played for the big10 and so I kinda wanted to not like him. I couldn't be happier.
Isn't the Rumor on Durant that he will go to Washington his hometown? I've heard of Westbrook to LA but not Durant.
Also where the heck are you hearing these positive rumors about Randle?
In this thread we've got people claiming the Lakers are set at bigs because they have Jordan Hill, that Wes Johnson is decent and that Randle is a combo of Chris Webber and Karl Malone now.
I would say it will be either Washington or LA. I think Washington is a very good team imo so I think its probably a slight lean that way. But who knows, the lakers a hard to pass up imo.
The Randle talk is just all over twitter. Follow a lot of NBA journalists and laker writers. They post a lot of quotes about what he has done over the past year. With this whole Kings deal, a source quoted Divac with saying that he is a future Chris Webber and others state if the draft was now, he would be the #1 pick easily. Evryone that watches him workout is amazed at his jumper. IDK, maybe he wont, but it is rumored that the lakers would absolutely not give up randall for cousins and that they consider him the future franchise player.
