Need a new offensive line coach. I know many on here will say the whole offensive staff needs to go, but I think it’s hard to judge with how bad the OL unit has been. In previous seasons, other position groups haven’t been bad, so I don’t think those coaches are a problem.

I wouldn’t be sad if Manning left, but part of me wonders if the playbook was limited due to how bad the OL was.

Another thing we need to do, if Campbell is going to continue to talk about winning in the margins, I think more practice time needs to be spent on the fundamentals. That’s how Iowa pulls out good seasons even when they suck. Players, in any sport, that are great at fundamentals will be average at worst.

Part of the line problems are the scheming related and that's on the OC. But everything from strength and technique, to blocking schema and splits is a disaster. OC and OL coaches need to be gone and the staff needs to do a better job of recruiting the position.

I think it's also apparent that Andrews isn't the difference maker we thought he'd be. I for one overestimated his impact (by a lot).

Someone who claims to have played at the same time isufbcurt was on the team was talking **** about him being a walk on who didn't play and annoyed the starters by "pretending" to be on the team. But isufbcurt has never claimed to play more than he actually did or any kind of bigger role. It's pretty easy to figure out who he is and when he was here and look up his contributions.

Meanwhile, the poster taking these shots is being completely anonymous while pretending to have been some kind of key contributor to those same squads, Which means it's probably just an alt of another account that doesn't like isufbcurt and is trying to be a ****.

IMO.

This is the last post I will make regarding this issue because I don't want to derail the thread any further.

As the bold points out I've never claimed to be a star player. I walked on, played special teams my Jr and Sr years, earned a scholarship and was a letter winner. Those are the facts and I have never claimed otherwise. You can not like that but quite frankly I don't care.

Back to the topic at hand.

Answer the real question about your bonafides!!!!!!

1. Did you every show up to parties at ISU wearing your game worn Cyclone jersey to impress the ladies.

2. Did it impress the ladies, if you know what I mean

I heard from an insider that there are no meetings taking place, and change haven't been discussed. We'll probably hear something before signing day.
There have been a number of significant changes already made. Not going to name them out of respect for others that make a living sharing the details as they get further shared.

Manning is fine between the 30s but is absolutely bottom in the country inside the 30. That comes down to in game management, situational awareness, and play calling. That is what lost us the most games the past few years and why Mannings is no longer OC. And that is the only decision that could have been made.

Who cares if ST is a dedicated coach, an additional responsibility or spread out. It's apparent we don't have anyone with the expertise in any area of ST. I doubt anyone on staff is knowledgeable to coach a FG kicker on technique.

Would Jamie Kohl take a different job as a ST coach? He ranks kickers and long snappers from his camps. His son is going to ISU, connection to ISU (former player) and I would think a huge increase in pay.

Looks like he's at the Panthers now. Not sure how salaries differ Pro vs College but doubt he'd get much of a raise. I'm sure being around his sun would be cool though

That's my bad. I wasn't aware he was actually coaching. I thought the camps were his main job.

Aplogize for this question...but are you saying Manning is not going to be the OC next season? Was this announced? Or is this something you hope for? I haven't read the entire thread and can't find that announcement in a quick look.
