No it isn't. He has a good faith, is a smart player, can make shots. He has a lot of what it takes to make a good career. Maybe he will or won't, but he handles himself very well down the stretch.
Yep - after the round today he said the reason he plays golf is to glorify God - that he felt His presence on the course today. Also talked about the great qualities of his caddie - that he is a man of faith too.
That's pretty cool.

To be fair with Spieth, he won two more majors and finished 2nd in a couple more after his Master's win. Not nearly as dominant, but still pretty darn good.
For sure, I'm not saying he's had a bad career after. Mostly that there are/have been a ton of really good young players who break through and people start counting their "inevitable" 5 or 6 (or more) majors they'll win.

I think what we are seeing is that there are a lot of talented young golfers out there. I don't think we are going to see just 1 or 2 dominant golfers at a time for a while.

Yeah, I think there's going to be a group of 5-10 that are going to be close to dominant, but tough to reach the levels of the past (though Scottie is on a streak that qualifies right now if he can keep it going)

The bird sounds are all fake.

There's an article out there, I read it yesterday after wondering the same thing. Just Google "masters bird sounds real?" or something.

Basically a journalist interviewed a bird expert who is also a huge golf fan. The bird guy (ornithologist?) said that all the bird sounds are genuine to birds who would live in the Augusta area.

Back in the year 2000, CBS got caught using fake bird sounds for another tournament (NOT the masters) when this same guy and others "noticed" that there were bird sounds of birds non-native to that location. And they admitted it.

So the expert guy suspects that they pre-record birds at Augusta National national early in the week or use sounds from prior birds. But they are all recorded on-site, he thinks.

So it's a bit more complex than "fake" vs. "not fake" -- they are real, native birds to that location you are hearing. But, re-used for ambiance, at least according to a good source.

Kind of like lip-syncing to your own voice recording. It's not "fake," but it's not live.

That "novelty act" made the cut over a lot of really good players. You're just gonna have to get used to it.

I appreciate Tiger but I'm not sure I've seen another golfer spray the ball around Augusta and catch the breaks he did on Thursday and Friday.

Tiger's ability to get himself out of trouble when he gets into it has been a mainstay of his game since he was at Stanford.

He just has to use it a lot more these days. ;)

Oh IO agree, he's always been a good scramble golfer. I'm talking about the favorable positions he ended up in after hitting awful golf shots.
