2022 Movie Hype Thread

It was kind of discussed in the Oscar thread, but I think this could be a particularly strong movie year especially for people who aren't particularly into superhero fare. We have the Marvel/DC/Star Wars threads, but not really a general movie thread. I'm also not a huge Oscar movie guy, I enjoy them but I'm looking forward to some real kind of older school movies.



The Northman - basically the Lion King but probably with a crazy amount of violence and weird stuff happening.



Operation Fortune - Looks like silly fun with a movie star playing himself to try and infiltrate an arms dealer's operation.



Ambulance - Heist gone wrong in LA, you bet.

Really looking forward to this, just wish Fleur Cinema would re-open, this is exactly the kind of movie we'd catch there. Miss that place.

When are they going to make a Clue 2. Part one is one of my favorites. Movie making is just big box office hits now. To much to lose with the streaming I guess.

My daughter wants to watch that with me so I have been waiting. She is in college so when she comes home she does not get much movie time. I might just bail on her and watch it, then act like I never saw it when we watch it together. haha

Your Best Picture winner (IMO) is Spielberg's autobiographical movie The Fabelmans. It's getting absolute raves.
