The only prediction I ever made was announced yesterday. For $5,000,000 so we can be somewhat competitive in the marketplace.

The only other one I did was last year with a smiley face for Gaitan when he was all but a done deal to ASU after transferring from Cal-Baptist.

Did I hint at the world champion from Cuba coming? Yep, but it's not my fault ISU compliance cleared him for the lineup in January and the NCAA fubar'ed it.

Did I talk about Suriano? Yep, and the staff had that all but done until Michigan outbid us.

Davino commits on Sunday and by Monday noon flips to Ohio State because they have more money.

Did I hint at the Ferrari's? Yep, and then KD decided it wasn't worth the family headaches and moved on.

Did I tell people to be patient about this staff getting Nagao to visit when he didn't even consider us until this staff busted their ass to have him take a look? Yep.

This would all be a lot easier if all the guys ******** about wanting results would open their checkbooks and help, instead of whining behind a keyboard.

@stuclone and @buf87 know a helluva lot more than me and from what I gather there is lots of stuff happening. Oh and GFY crabby.
Davino and Suriano...both of those flat-out pissed me off when it got out that this staff had it all but signed then the 11th hour $$$$ threw it all out the window. Wild times wild wild times.

This staff just getting Nagao to take a look is a huge deal that I don't think the casual fans will understand. Are we going to get him? I mean hey positive vibes only.

ISU just doesn't have the funds to compete with the huge pocket programs in this new NIL environment. It sucks for us, because if money weren't in the equation I think athletes would very often choose our staff. This is just how it is, so I have decided to adjust my expectations -- and I will still enjoy the team and the sport.

Before you pounce: I'm not going to give more because sports are not at the top of my giving agenda. So instead, I am preparing myself for a new college athletics reality where a few programs win everything, all the time (even more so than now). We'll see how that goes.

AA level transfers are a veritable pipe dream right now without competitive NIL $$$. That’s just how it is.
