Yep. They can survive a loss to Bradley and MAYBE at UNI but that's it and even then they'd probably need some help.

I think they end up like 15-5 at best so it doesn't matter anyway. Those legs aren't going to make it another six weeks.
They were an at-large in 2021 after going 15-3 and only 1 win over a very bad K-State team in non-conf that year. This year they at least have the Miami and Vanderbilt wins also.

It's an interesting study at least. The committee has seem to favor teams like this recently than teams around .500 from bigger conferences.

They were also sitting at 45 in NET on selection sunday, where they're sitting at 64 right now.

I wouldnt say miami helps them much at all. Miami is deep in quad 4, they're terrible.

On Torivk their best win was K-State who was 142nd.

This year in their non-conf they have 3 wins that were better than anything in 2021. They have Vanderbilt, FCG, and Florida-Atlantic who are all better wins this year.

They also finished 79 that year on Torivck and are currently 68th. I think they can get an at large going 15-3 and losing to Bradley in St. Louis. That might put them in Dayton but that would likely put them somewhere around the cut line.

Miami is hands down the worst major conference team this year. The fact that they only beat them by 11 probably hurts them.

Does Drake have any chance at an at-large bid? Currently sitting at 17-2 right now with a very favorable schedule. They have Bradley at home and their toughest road game left looks like UNI.
Considering the SEC, B1G and Big XII will take up approx 26-27 of the 37 at large bids...I'm afraid their only chance will be to win their conference tournament.

Don't compare anything to the COVID tournament. That year was weird.

The Valley plays 20 now and I don't think they can go 10-1 on the way out anyway. They've still got Bradley, UNI x2, UIC that already beat them and a trip to Murray plus they lost a chance to get an extra Q2ish win because they don't play at Belmont.

The Valley has a lot of good teams for the level right not but nobody that you can really get a great win against.

They do? Bradley and Drake seem pretty good, after that it seems like a bunch of middling teams and the bottom looks pretty bad this year also. Illinois St, Valpo Evansville, Indiana St, Southern Illinois, and Missouri St all look really bad this year.

That's just my general observations. I'm going to both UNI games and likely UIC also. I'll have to start watching more MVC games to get a better idea.

Soooooo……Is Maryland going to be the next underdog to dominate a game for 39 minutes and 50 seconds only to cough it up at the end?

Okay @NorthCyd how about “Lead” is that better?
In that case I'm going to say no. Underwood will make defensive adjustments to stop Maryland from getting to the rim in the second half and Illinois ends up pulling away and wins comfortably. That said I hope Maryland can hang on to win.
