Just like Gobert is a walking top 10 defense, Lamelo is a walking top ten offense. Swapping a very nice bench player for an offensive engine like Lamelo is a no brainer. I couldn’t believe Charlotte gave him away for so little. I will gladly take on the injury risk for a young player like Lamelo. What could go wrong counting on Gobert in the playoffs? I'm not a hater but he does have limitations. Trading Reid is bizarre.

LOL to this
Seems like it would be just a move to sell tickets. I think Golden State knows they’re nowhere close to legitimately competing for a title. Might as well gather some all-time greats for one last year and sell a ton of tickets in their swan song.It would be a debacle, but part of me would love to see it lol. If they pulled it together they'll have an absolutely ancient team. By the time the playoffs roll around they'd have Lebron (42), Horford (40), Steph (39), Draymond (37) and AD (34). The Spurs/Thunder would be absolutely running circles around that old ass team.
Not to mention they'll have to move Jimmy to make it happen and it'll take multiple future firsts/swaps to do so. Craziness because, even if you get this team together, you're going to have basically one season to hope it works and then you'll have burned all sorts of assets for any possible rebuild.
It would be a spectacular explosion to end the era. Which would be as entertaining as any other way for them to finish it off.It would be a debacle, but part of me would love to see it lol. Absolutely, as my assumption is that their fan base will disappear and they’ll be back to anonymity post CurryIt would be a spectacular explosion to end the era. Which would be as entertaining as any other way for them to finish it off.
That’s the beauty of having an elite passing point guard who is a dynamic creator. They elevate everyone around them offensively. Naz puts together a nice highlight reel but he is way overvalued and I’m glad the wolves sold high on in him. The wolves don’t need a flashy power forward they need a defender and capable 3 pt shooter.Gobert is pretty valuable in the regular season but he is too one dimensional for the playoffs. And he is aging, betting on seven footers to maintain elite athleticism in their mid thirties is risky. They also hollowed out their 4 spot when they shipped Reid and Randle both out. Adding Lamelo to upgrade their offense makes sense. But on the whole, I have a hard time seeing them be better next year. I don't think they have enough cap space to sign much else but I could be wrong on that.
