Quick question for those softball minds watching the game. Starting pitcher cruising along. 2 outs no one on. Removed from game. Next pitcher gives up HR then walk. Why does thst happen?? Doesn’t appear injury related.
I can’t help you there except maybe it being a non conference game they’re on a limit of pitching, or have some analytics they stick to.
I love that coaches are both are fat guys in gym shorts though.
Down 1-0 to start the bottom of the 4th and the lady Cyclones hit 4 doubles and a bases loaded walk to take a 5-1 lead. The innings not over bases loaded 2 outs. Pitching change.
With a win today, yes. If we lose today it comes down to the 2nd softball matchup in a few weeks, I believe.

Only the softball game in Iowa City should count toward this year's total. Last year's game in Ames was cancelled due to weather, so today's game is effectively that 23-24 game.
