I attended the Final 4 at Lucas Oil stadium when Duke played Wisconsin for the ship. They Cyclones were highly rated that year and blew up everybody's brackets when they lost in the first round IIRC. Needless to say, our tickets were sky high and it was like watching ants on a checkerboard. Best view was watching the big screens. So while it checked off one of the items on the bucket list, getting to watch the actual game was not one of the greatest experience.
One thing of note was they collect all this money from the networks to broadcast the games, and the networks have great camera angles for the actual play. When a questionable call get reviewed, they don't use they technology available to make sure they get the call correct. They showed replays on the big screens that 80K fans get to see, then wait and hear the refs make the wrong call based upon the reviews the refs get to watch.
