Or, and stay with me here because this is an insane thought, maybe he actually wanted to be in Ames?Assuming this is a combo of getting a pay raise via the collective and realizing his value wasn’t as high as he thought it would be.
I bet you’re fun at partiesAssuming this is a combo of getting a pay raise via the collective and realizing his value wasn’t as high as he thought it would be.
He would get a lot of $ from a Big 10 or SEC school. His stats don't tell his valueAssuming this is a combo of getting a pay raise via the collective and realizing his value wasn’t as high as he thought it would be.
The chatter after the season was that he was basically gone. Based on what our highest paid player makes(as of before the bowl game) i can’t imagine we’re giving him a huge bag. So I’m guessing he wasn’t going to get quite what he thought he would command and we will was able to give him enough of a raise to keep him. Depending on what the players situation is, most guys aren’t going to turn down a massive pay raise if they’re able to get one.Or, and stay with me here because this is an insane thought, maybe he actually wanted to be in Ames?
The consensus was he was “gone” because he would enter the draft. There was never concern he’d be gone to another college teamThe chatter after the season was that he was basically gone. That’s not what I heard but it’s possible. The consensus was he was “gone” because he would enter the draft. There was never concern he’d be gone to another college team
I promise you that there are guys on the team that have been hearing from other teams all season. It’s honestly a huge win for We Will that he was able to be retained. There was literally no chatter of that.
