Interesting twist to this. If you read to the bottom of Swain's article it says that Devin Kargman's team beat Becht's team in the finals so maybe he was the best. He apparently has an offer from West Virginia along with interest from North Carolina and Iowa.
The overwhelmingly popular opinion was that Becht was the best qb there. Kargman isn’t very good.

I'm very happy where we're sitting with the future of our QB room right now.

Of course I want Purdy to be here forever, but I'm also looking forward to him moving on next year so we can see Dekkers take over, then Rocco, then who next? JJ Kohl? It's weird but fun to be looking forward to 4-5 years down the road already when our current QB holds almost every school record there is.

Don't forget Aidan Bouman. I agree. It's quite the pipeline.

“His dad’s understanding of the game” means that he’d understand that Neal Brown is doing a fine job at WVU in his own right, just a couple of years behind CMC’s curve.

Until WVU lands a QB in this class, I’m not sure they won’t decide to try to make a run at Rocco. I’m also not sure they’d have any luck, but that book isn’t closed until then.
By all accounts Brown is a good coach, I just get the feeling he’s a slimeball, or maybe a typical ladder climber at best. But maybe he’s just a southern football coach. I get that feeling from a lot of them.

It’s super weird because 247 covers every 7 on 7 camp he goes to and still won’t give him a ratings boost

Just curious, if anyone knows, do they do random ratings boosts for players or do they have set intervals where they only update ratings at certain times of the year?

With this being a rivals camp, surely he'll get a ratings boost from rivals. Oh well, it's not like ratings really matter, the coaching staff has shown they can win no matter what the class rankings are
I'm assuming soon we will be getting the obligatory "blue-bloods interested/offer" ratings boost. "Oh, Iowa State is showing interest or making an offer? Time to boost him from 3 stars to 4 stars."

Tom Brady has lost games. Usain Bolt has lost races.
Kargman is nowhere near Rocco Becht.
