Prohm has told this team time and again do not get the 4th foul until 5 minute mark in the first half they had 4 fouls in the first half

Look at the fouls they picked up in the 2nd half. KU was in the bonus wth like 6 minutes to go.
The plan is to avoid fouls in the first half, if that is the case that means you cannot play defense as aggressively.
fwiw it looked like this under Hoiberg too.

Great to hear/see all the KU meltdown this morning. What a spoiled fanbase when they have a coach that was won 11 straight conference titles and some want him to see him fired. Sorry KU fans, you can't win them all. You knew that at some point that all streaks come to an end and hopefully this is the year someone other than KU wins the Big 12.

Well, I was close on that prediction. Stayed in bed til 12:30 and gave up. Went downstairs and finally drifted off on the couch at some point later. Going to be dragging today, but don't care!

I watched some Aussie Open until about 1:30 and still had a hard time once I went to bed. These 8:00 p.m. starts are rough.

West Virginia and ISU (heck even OSU!) have done their part now. OU and Baylor (and maybe KSU?) need to steal one at home against KU now. KU must be destroyed.

Kentucky fans may also be upset since aTm is winning and ISU tanked KU before their big match.

GN definitely travelled a couple times with some foot shuffling before he made a move. I am sure Bill S. told the officials to watch it closely. The Refs did do a pretty good job of letting KU have that extra step or two in the lane last night.

Georges was getting away with that move a lot earlier in the season but is a travel by the letter of the rule.
In Prohm's post game he mentioned one of the Ref's mentioned during the TCU game shuffleing of the feet is a new emphisis of the crews. Though he kind of back tracked saying it was a travel and was the right call, to not call out the Big 12 officiating (smart move by a 1st year coach). He also said they'll adjust practice adding some fundimental footwork drills to adjust. I guess we'll see a couple more games with Georges travels and then the refs will relax the call and George will adjust and the shuffling won't be an issue.

I noticed that Georges did a baseline move late in the game where he purposely put the ball on the floor before moving. They still couldn't stop him. It's just something he'll have to get used to.

I couldn't help but to browse at a few Jayhawk boards today to see what they are saying. One comment I just laughed when I read it. Perfect example of how spoiled their fanbase has got:

If we continue to not win on the road, we are headed for our third consecutive year of 9 losses or more. I am factoring in a loss in the Big 12 tourney and NCAA tourney. You tell me or any of the current bluebloods if they think that is ok. No, it really isn't.

WOW! Better fire Roy Williams at UNC too, they have lost 10 or more the past 3 seasons. Talk like that is just crazy, just imagine how upset that fan base would be if they made the NIT or missed the postseason all together just for 1 season. I know when you get all the top recruits every year and you have a winning tradition for as long as KU has you expect a Final 4 about every season but at some point there has to be at least 1 "mediocre" year in there once in awhile, even the other blueblood schools have had some years like that once in awhile.

This KU team maybe is a little different because it's best players aren't the 1 and done types they usually have but it's still a pretty damn good team regardless. They had to know that at some point the conference title streak would end and they technically aren't still out of it with 1/2 the season left to play.

An improvement I feel like is occurring from last year: when there was a weird call, like a travel or even bad foul call, last year's team seemed to get 'stuck' on that and never quite move on. That 'getting stuck' seemed to be present in a few of their weird losses, where it looked like the were still griping about in the huddle 10 game minutes later.

It's a few different players, so that may be a difference, but I feel like they're working through those situations better this year, and especially games like last night.

The traveling calls didn't stop Georges from still getting important buckets late, and some ticky-tack fouls didn't stop them from being aggressive enough to not let KU get any 3's off in those last two minutes, which is usually when I expect KU to hit a couple to pull within 2 or something.

Funny that Hawkeye fans blew up Fran Fraschilla's twitter for Niang's travels. Why do they care? The more we win, the better chance they have to play in Des Moines. Idiots.

Way up there
The issue isn't really about whether or not Georges travels...he does, the issue is why don't they call it on anyone else? There are dozens of uncalled travel violations every game.

Iowa fans can't stand Iowa State being successful. There are some Cyclone fans that feel the same way about Iowa too
