Brock has a nice ratio but he isn't throwing a ton of TDs compared to the type of player he's being compared to. Stats aren't everything though. Brock wins a ring and maintains excellence for a couple years, by all means slobber away.

I’ll slobber as much as I want when I want

I found this interview pretty interesting. Shanahan is ultra sharp and the 49ers radio guy is a pretty good interviewer. Not a lot of Brock talk, but they do gush over him near the beginning of the video. You can tell Shanahan loves coaching Brock.

The only thing remotely like this I've experienced is when I was a little kid Hawkeye fan and the Bulls drafted BJ Armstrong and I just followed the Bulls straight through the 6x champs. Of course the analogy isn't perfect because BJ was a good role player.

This is insane how dominant this team is every week.

Ya. It’s my funnest sports follow every weekend although MBB starts soon and might change that.

Love me some Purdy9ers.

I don’t see Purdy having much in the way of stats for this game. Seems like it’s going to be a rainy slug fest.

I’ve recently seen quite a bit of criticism of Purdy by analytic types over his “expected interception rate,” throws that could have been intercepted but weren’t. So even though Brock hasn’t thrown any picks, these guys are knocking him for inaccurate throws and clumsy DBs, I guess, finding any reason they can to classify him as just a “competent system QB.”

So I’m sure these guys will also give him credit for dropping a perfect throw deep downfield into Aiyuk’s hands that he just flat-out dropped, right? Right?
