The freaks from Westboro "Baptist" Church will be in Parkersburg Saturday morning to protest the funerals of those killed in the tornado. What they will be protesting, I don't know. But emotions are running high enough in Butler County that it could get pretty ugly.
Hopefully by that point they are still making people register to even get into town and they get kept out.

Did they gays cause the tornadoes too? These people seriously need to shut up, I am all for free speech, but when people do this, it just makes me sick.

Whatever happened to free speech as long as it doesn't hinder someone elses rights. Doesn't this hinder their right to mourn??? Or is my high school education not getting this?

Being as they're from Topeka, KS (you know...that area prone to tornadoes), one should wonder what they would do if their own homes were destroyed by a tornado and family members died?

Just a thought.

They would blame it on the US military for accepting homosexuals...which makes GOD mad, and I think that they actually believe it too.

The explanation I was given was that they are looking for any reason possible to get into Iowa and this apparently gives them a reason. When the state legislators made them keep their distance at military funerals, it opened up a whole new can of worms in their eyes.

Hopefully they won't have the money to keep traveling after much longer. The Phelps have a five million dollar judgment against them as the result of this crap.

Snyder v. Phelps | Citizen Media Law Project

Something tells me they're still going to be all over the place though.

I get the feeling that if they did that to anyone in my family I would probably knock them out. It would probably result in assault charges, but I get the feeling the judge would be lenient with sentencing, and there is no jury in America that would render a substantial civil verdict against someone for doing so.
