I'm impressed with what he did regardless of conditions. He'll probably never have another game with those types of stats, but I think it's safe to say minimum he's going to be a pretty good college running back.

13.8 ypc, 110 yards and 2 TDs against BYU

He only got 8 of the 29 carries that went to RBs...might have gotten close to KSU #s if he got 20 of those 29 carries.

9.8 ypc against TCU
9.6 ypc againt OU

Seems like the big play potential is really there.

I think sky is the limit from a potential standpoint. That being said, I am nervous as hell to have just him and Hansen to rely on for the bowl game. Especially if we get matched up with a team that has a solid front 7. As explosive as he is, he seems almost just as likely to have a propensity to not hang on to the ball.

I believe we do also have Arlen Harris as a 3rd back if needed. In a previous post someone referenced an issue with his transfer papers as to why he may not have seen the field much earlier in the season.

Interesting. I could see it maybe being hard to transfer certain college credits IN to Stanford, but not the other way around like what Harris did.

Is it weird to think Hansen might at some point be on the field in another position? I like him as a RB but I also see him as the kind of dude that just plays football well.

Maybe we should only give out 22 scholarships. Because this board obviously has issues having more than one good player per position.

Definitely need to get him on the field more in some capacity.

Agree. One other thing I'll say is props to the equipment crew for getting the right cleats on the players. I think that we had better footing than KSU did.

Abu Sama-

Scored too fast. Killed countless drives with 70 yard touchdowns. Went scoreless from the Redzone. Wore teammates down from causing them to celebrate too hard and too often. That's NOT how you win in the margins. Makes me wanna puke.
Stikeouts are fascist.

Equipment staff seems to always be on point. And the BYU game, too. It drove BYU talking heads absolutely nuts how often they slipped on their own field, yet ISU didn't appear to slip even once.

Same thing was mentioned several times during the covid year, particularly on our turf that needed replaced. I can't remember which coach said in their postgame that they even made a point to bring the longest cleats they had and they just couldn't keep their footing while ISU was able to make cuts with ease.
