First...there is zero way he will serve jail time

Second...I really doubt he gets 3 games. IF he gets any additional game it will be 1 game IMO.

Not saying I agree.....just the reality IMO.

Here is reality.

Ex-Alburnett city clerk sentenced in theft case

In this instance the city clerk received a 10 year suspended sentence and probation for first degree theft.

I would imagine that Albert Gary will receive a suspended sentence and probation. His career continues. He is on a short leash with no margin for error. CPR will handle it. We can move on.

Pretty much the same story from a year ago, not too smart, hopefully learned a lesson.

Embezzling money is a bit different than what Gary did.

Gary Should be Gone!!

I usually go with the the mantra that if an athlete screws up (along the lines of OWI, Public Intox, Theft) that the athletic department needs to work with the kid and help them get their head on straight. IMO it is part of the bargain when we offer kids scholarships- basically 18-22 year old kids will do stupid things and some of these kids come from pretty rough backgrounds.

However, Gary was part of a group that committed a robbery of a fellow students and based on the story showed a gun. The kicker was this happened ON CAMPUS. This shouldn't even be up the the AD- ISU should boot Albert Gary.

Any athletes convicted of either felonies or crimes involving moral turpitude need to go, IMO.

I'm usually in the boat of limiting suspensions and expulsions for player committing minor crimes. But, this was on campus. You just don't do things like that on central campus. I'd say 3 more games if not the boot. But I'll trust CPR, as he knows a lot more than we do about the character of the kid and how much inside punishment he's already gotten. I'm actually surprised that the university hasn't stepped in and went over the AD's head. If central campus isn't safe, what is?

Exactly. Football player or otherwise, if a student committed this on campus, they should be gone.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but wasn't it a bb gun? If I remember correct I thought it was played off as some sort of practical joke? If it was a real gun and he was in fact trying to rob someone then I totally agree, but the whole incident seems a little cloudy for anyone with an outside view to really be making any judgments

It was a bb gun, plus he is good. If we want to compete with the best we need to be on a level playing field with them.

That's what I thought. Honesty I don't look at him as a man of poor character, just as kind of an idiot. I don't think he should get any more of a suspension

I wish Gray the best in his future. And I expect and hope his future is somewhere besides ISU.

Initial reports said "nothing" was taken. What was taken?
In addition to losing a sense of safety and/or peace of mind on central campus? Is this what you are asking?? Being patted down and told "We run this place" doesn't take enough away from the young lady??
