Yeah, its definitely a bit surprising in both directions.

Like, I saw your post and was like "no way I heard them all the time in the 90s", but back then I would have mostly been listening to the alternative station here (107.5 the dot)

I'm younger than you but they were "that 'Wonderwall' band" when I was young.

From my naive perspective they were very much a one-hit wonder. That song was everywhere.

But after that... nothing.

Eventually somebody told me to check them out... a friend knew I was a fan of 60s and 70s rock 'n' roll and told me to give them a try... very much in that vein though with a modern twist but the obvious influences of 60s mods, 70s glam and hard rock, and 80s punk and indie rock mixed in there...

Put on their first album one night.

******* sold forever maybe ten seconds into "Rock 'n' Roll Star."

Three (maybe four) chord RAWK. No ******* around. Impossible amounts of distortion. Recycled riffs from half-forgotten 60s and 70s songs. Arrogant-sounding vocalist. Louddddddddddddddd.

Gimme some more of that. That stuff is great.

Testifying
Currently going down a 90s rabbit hole. Man, Sugar Ray had some serious bangers.
McGrath was on Big Brother one season. My preconceived notion of him being a doosh was wrong. VERY chill guy.

Saw it live in 94 at the fairgrounds when Danzig was touring with Metallica. First and best concert I've ever been too. Metallica at the height of their powers. Danzig was meh, but the song was all over MTV at the time.

Didn’t eve 6 play Veishea one year mid 00s? I swear I saw them there but I was pretty drunk.

I’m an xfiles fanatic and I absolutely love that the band name comes from a good but not great xfiles episode name. Most 90s thing ever.

For someone who watched Dumb and Dumber 3,412 times when I was 13, this one hits different.
There is at least one other great one hit wonder from that soundtrack that I can think of. Who can guess it first?

I'm embarrassed to admit that I know this, but Sugar Sugar wasn't the Archie's only hit.

Bang Shang A Lang and Jingle Jangle also charted top 40. Jingle Jangle top 10.
@MeanDean, I'm impressed!! I must bow to your knowledge!
