I'm trying to be positive. It's just tough shaking the many times the mistress of ISU football got me all excited, only to take a crap on my pillow.

It's not an 11am kickoff, so I'm pretty confident. Our team is absolutely abysmal at morning games.

We're heading down there in the morning, and I'm very concerned. The last road game we went to was at Toledo in 2007, and we all know how that turned out. Very worried that we could see a similar result. If we lose, I want us to just get blasted. I don't want us losing in OT or at the very end of the game.

I think that the team is in a downward spiral right now. They flat out quit vs UT and OU. Personally, I expect a loss. It wouldn't surprise me at all to see ISU get blown out. I'd be more surprised with an ISU win than a KU blowout. Hope I'm wrong, but the team has shown nothing in recent weeks to believe otherwise.

I'm going to raise my sons to NOT be like you all. Good lord, winning in the Big12 and college football is difficult, and losing to Texas and Oklahoma is not cause to abandon hope.

For the most part the season is going how I figured from the beginning. We havnt lost to anybody unexpected unless you count Tech. There is no reason to just crap out on the team

I can understand some of the doomsaying this week. If nothing else, I don't trust being too overconfident, for various reasons.

Let me ask this, especially to fans who expect a loss or who are at least strongly braced for it: If this game was at the Jack, how much would it change your outlook?

It wouldn't be much different at all.
Fan defense mechanisms are a wonderful thing.

A lot of entitlement in this thread. You are like Texas fans before they beat Tech.

I expect a hard fought Big 12 game and I believe this team comes out on top.

I then expect a bunch of naysayers in this thread to predict a beat down of WVU.

Do I expect a Cyclone win today? Yes. Do I think the good guys will win today? Yes. Am I cheering for ISU to win? You better believe it.

But let's be realistic here. Kansas has one win but they've been improving throughout the season and are playing for a little bit of pride to go out with another win or two. They aren't going to roll over and play dead. ISU was 1-8 heading into our last three games of 2007 -- upset K-State & Colorado at home before losing to KU on the road. Colorado didn't have a conference win heading into the 2010 game against us.

Would I be surprised at all if Kansas wins? No. Crazier things have happened in college football.

This is one of those games that can really solidify the changing culture of ISU football. This is a game that we should win. The D Mac teams would have lost this game.

Go back and look at KU's schedule. All of their home losses were one possession games. Our last couple meetings with them at JTS were closer than most expected. They haven't quit on the season yet. This is not going to be an easy win.

I fully expect ISU to lose tomorrow and I can't shake it. The good news is that when I feel this way, except for obvious situations (OU for example), we usually win.

I think I still have a built in defense mechanism for when Lucy pulls the ball away.

With Thanksgiving this close I can be thankful that you are not coaching or playing in this game. I guess we should have left the team at home and saved money. One other note is that 50% of the teams are going to loose and nothing is going to change that.
