Still haven't seen anything around Omaha, hopefully they get delivery by Friday to Council Bluffs like someone heard earlier.

Found some Clone Fest at the Oskaloosa Fareway, but no Ames Lager yet. Will be grabbing some next time I’m in the metro regardless.

Not sure about the other 2 Hy-Vee's in Dubuque, but went back into Dodge Street yesterday for groceries. Still had plenty Ames Lager from my first trip but wanted to see how it was doing. Shelf was completely empty and the staff had flipped the tag over so they could make an extra row of Clone Fest.

Great job eastern IA/Dubuque Cyclone fans!

Ames, IA
Stopped into the East Ames Hyvee yesterday afternoon for a flash sale they had on some bourbon and I asked when he expected more of the good stuff to be delivered. Said he couldn’t give me an answer, but said they would tweet l out from their @amesliquordeals account when they get more in stock.

CR Hy-Vee's can't keep it in stock. DSM Hy-Vee's won't stock it. Who are the smarter managers here?
I think only the downtown Hy-Vee doesn't stock it, which is a weird Hy-Vee. I think pretty much everyone else in the metro is stocking it.

My Hawkeye friends don't actually enjoy Swarm... They drink it to support Iowa, but don't go out of their way to get it.

We'll see if Ames Lager has a better run, because I have a feeling it will have more staying power than Swarm based on the fact that A TON of Iowa's fan base is in Illinois, where you can't go to the store and buy Swarm.. On the other hand, more of ISU's fanbase is in the state and our collective is run by a far more vocal and local figure
Time will tell, but I wonder if release date impacts the popularity. Swarm came out months ago, far from the start of football season. I’m sure sales will continue, but I wonder if the shine has worn off?

Meanwhile Ames Lager came out ~2 weeks before kickoff. Demand is high and supply is timely. It’s exciting to have it, and it looks like West O will need to work hard to keep up.

I say all this knowing I’m viewing this in a vacuum with my cardinal tinted glasses on surrounded by the most rabid Cyclone fans on the planet. And I love all you sickos.
