Forbes is probably the least impressive commit from the new staff. Don't mean that as a negative, but he doesn't look nearly as good as some of the other OL targets. I had Jackson and Castillo way ahead of him and had 3 or 4 other targets ahead as well. I wish we knew exactly who was leaving the program and how many more prospects we can sign.

sounds like we're taking an "offer them all and sign them all". Then worry about numbers later. I think we're on pace to need about 10-15 guys to leave the program.

Max number is 25 plus any that can be counted towards the previous year. Would be surprised if they don't take AT LEAST 25. They are cleaning house and will get the number right in the end.

Don't think this impacts Castillo at all. Seems like he's a huge CMC/Manning fan. May even take a couple more if Powell or Campbell can be kept from Stanford and MSU.

The future of this program is bright because of these talented players coming in and the greater players sticking around.

Very excited for these guys to get Big 12 trained and ready and then seeing them play on saturday! Future is bright!

Hope this doesn't mean we're not getting Castillo or the kid from Rhode Island.

Nothing against this kid at all, but everyone on here would be complaining like crazy if Rhoads got him. Everyone would say... "he's only a 2 star, with no other decent offers".

By everyone you mean some? Go back and read those threads, 50/50 does not justify the use of "everyone".

But your biggest mistake is failing to realize that the discontent with Rhoads recruiting was he had proven he could not identify and develop at the level needed to be so optimistic whereas Campbell has done nothing but hint he can.

Thanks it had been way too long since somebody made the "everybody would hate it if Rhoads did it" claim.

I thought Rhoads and staff were ok recruisers but as mentioned before, development lacked. I don't see that happening with the new staff. We have the national OL coach of the year and that is the one spot we have disappointed the last few years. We had a basketball game today and won, yet some people are still posting in the football forum. That doesn't usually happen. The excitement level is really high. I love it.

I like thinking about what our QB, RBs, and Receivers can do with a good O line.

I would rather have Castillo. I think realistically he is our top target now.

Glad you'd rather have Castillo...I'm glad to have this kid. He is a work in progress and coaches have said that from the start. He plays mean, which is something ISU has been missing on the line for a while now.

I'll take a 2* with attitude and a chip on his shoulder any day and see what he becomes.
