If I didn't know anything about ISU basketball and didn't look up records, or resumes or anything and then read this thread and a couple others I would think this team was in serious danger of not making the tournament.
If we get knocked out in the first round it is a trainwreck (I don't think this will happen). The McDermott years the train never got out of the station.
He won't be this year, or his redshirt would be in jeopardy....Is Naz even medically cleared to come back?

so instead of healing further and further PT, he should come back now. Cant argue with these facts.
It's possible that he's healed as much as he can heal, and time won't necessarily change the outcome. Did Bo Jackson need more time, or was he just maxed out with his recovery when he ended his career early? It happens all the time in sports.
Maybe playing 15-20 minutes in the next 7-12 games this year, is something that Naz's hips can handle better than 30+ games next year.
My point is that we don't know what's going on between Naz, his doctors, Prohm and the team. It's not as out of the question as you make it sound.
And don't forget adding McDermott and Brian Peterson banners to the rafters. Apparently McDoormat era wasn't a trainwreck and Brian Peterson was a better PG then Hornacek, Thigpen, Tinsley, Stinson, Blalock, Monte, etc
It's not as out of the question as you make it sound.
Did they talk about me? That's all I really want to know.
This is my take on the deal. ISU is a great team. The players know it, the coaches know it, our competition knows it, and the media pundits know it. If winless Minnesota can knock off #6 Maryland then my Cyclones can take it all the way. Time to man up, put the big boy pants on, and fans back their team. Buy in ALL the way!
Naz is not coming back this season. I spoke to him again Tuesday night and asked him how hard it is for him to sit and watch at the end of tight games. He said it is brutal, especially when he knows he could make a difference. But than said "I do get to come back for one more year!" with a huge smile. I told him "if you can get Monte to come back, you, Matt, and him will make up the best back court in the country. He put his hand out to shake and said "Trust me, I am working on that"...
Naz is a young man, he'll heal up for next year. So playing at 100% for 30+ games next year or 50% for 7-9 games this year...
I'm not great at math, but are you people even serious?
