I was a huge Cheers fan and a moderate Frasier fan. Has anyone checked out the Frasier reboot? I have not. Seems to be one where there is a wide gap in opinions between critics and viewers.

If no Niles or Dad, hard to see it approaching the original.
Disappointed that Niles didn't re-sign. Dad would have been a tough pull

I think Niles was the best part of the show
I was never a big fan, but then again I never liked 90210, Friends, or any of that other mild soap opera like stuff.
It's a show meant for intellectuals, so that makes sense you wouldn't get it
Some people, my wife among them, don't find him a likeable character. IMO, the other characters made the show.
Nothing that happened last year matters. That's what you guys have been saying. So if Mahomes MVP, Super Bowl MVP, record yards year is obsolete why the **** does what Brock Purdy did last year matter?

It was always like a can of diet soda. It was pretty good, but not really, and not satisfying.
But I'd pick up another 6 and go through the process again
Agreed. I'm not sure Frasier (the character) is supposed to be all that likeable. As a result, the show is full of jokes at his expense.
It is by far my favorite of the highly-popular sitcoms of the 90s. It was simultaneously highbrow and slapstick, and did both very well.
Some of my favorite episodes: "Ham Radio" (S4E18), "The Ski Lodge" (S5E14), "Room Service" (S5E15), all of which are very heavy on slapstick. "Ham Radio" and "Ski Lodge" are the two highest-rated Frasier episodes on IMDB.

I would add Daphne and Roz to that. I think that whole cast was great and is why it was a really good show. Kind of like Cheers, their entire cast was great.
