And up until last year they had similar results. One bad year. One sweet 16. One ncaa upset in first round. 2 tourney titles.
Our fans are such great fans that they have actually quit watching the games to show what great fans they are.
Awesome.

Already been discussed and agreed upon. The determination of his replacement is in progress with one leader in the clubhouse but they haven’t engraved the trophy.....yet
That would be more wins then the last two years combined. Honestly the only expectation for next year will be to lay the foundation and identity moving forward. If they win a total of 10 games next year it will be a major success.

The past two seasons are likely to go down as one of the worst two year stretches of Iowa State Basketball since the 1930’s (case could be made for one the worst four year stretches—would need to more accurately validate).
You are incorrect as folks do find out. See there are donors stepping up for both buyouts. Seems like you don’t get much info...oh wellThere is a near zero chance this is true. And even more unlikely is that this has leaked out.
Who knows but 5-27 in conference the last two years might have something to do with itWhy would the defending Big12 tournament champions coach get fired?

Why wouldn’t this be true? This is how the rest of the world works. There is a near zero chance this is true. And even more unlikely is that this has leaked out.
I have always supported, not defended CSP and every Cyclone team that has ever taken the court.
The results of the last 2 seasons have been unacceptable at the high major level. I just think people have to have some real perspective and expectations of the program. TWO Big 12 titles in over 20 years. Fred's teams were fun to watch, had conference tournament success, consistently sniffed the top 25 and never won the conference. Not once. Our storied basketball program has made it past the Sweet Sixteen in the real tournament exactly ONCE.
Jackson’s Height is not an issue.Jackson and Javan Johnson are not Big 12 caliber players. They just aren’t. With Tre it is a height issue. With Javan it is more mental.
The only way this team gets back to the tournament is a high end 6-6 or 6-5 wing transfer.
You pair that with Bolton, Hunter, Foster and Hinson then “maybe” you can scratch the bubble. A lot of maybes in there.
But if you are starting Tre, Bolton, Hunter, Hinson and Foster then you will get out rebounded by 15 every night.

No one wanted him to failI don't think CSP should keep his job. But I also think there were people around Ames who wanted him to fail from day one.
People were on Prohm's ass four months before he ever coached a game at ISU, one even took the trouble to write a snarky op-ed to the DMR that had nothing to do with his ability to coach basketball. And people will still occasionally bring that situation up in here if you know which rocks to look under, so you know it wasn't just one crank prof on campus. I've never seen that kind of deal with any coach anywhere before, despite it being a common approach taken with players all over the country.
Now, if they had won more, maybe that pissy sentiment would have evaporated. But given it was often only ever a bad half of basketball from getting brought up, I doubt it.
Yes, and if we maintained the program at that level, and the failure of the last two seasons never happened, Prohm wouldn’t be losing his job. Don’t we all agree on that? What is confusing about this?
I'm prepared for multiple players leaving after this season no matter what Prohm's status is.I can guarantee you 1 if not 2 of those will not be here next year if Prohm is. That's first-hand.
