I would like to see Rice replace Baylor in the south, even with Baylors improvement recently.
Seems like we had a home and away series with Rice about 20 years ago. Anyone else remember that?
a home and home with Rice would be pretty cool. They kindly allowed the 'V'mb to use their stadium to practice at for the Houston bowl. After that I looked up some info on the stadium. It might not be the newest venue in the NCAA, but it was kinda cool to be in a place with a good deal of history:

First place with astroturm
Plus some exposure in Texas, especially a place like Houston which provides plenty of tourist style options after the game.
It'd be nice to take another trip to Houston for ISU football.

20 years ago I was in the 4th grade and I don't remember who ISU played those years unfortunately!
Maybe others saw this, but I didn't notice it the first time. There's a separate link to a Q & A with Coach McKnight about his decision to come to Iowa State. Sounds like we got a GREAT individual!!

I remember us playing Rice in the late 80's or early 90's. I was listening to the game upstairs and we were getting waxed. My wife asked me why I stopped listening and I told her we blew another one. Later that night I was watching the sports and we had come back and won.
