Even worse was I the second half; Iowa time out(Media time out) Iowa score (Media time out) kickoff (media time out). Couldn't have been more then 30 seconds of game time off the clock

That's what happens when the bigger networks (Fox) have to get 4 breaks per quarter in a game with 2 clock-burning teams.

it feels like the script of the game needs some flexibility. Juicy Wiggle had the crowd going and Iowa called a timeout shortly after. Then the band played but Juicy Wiggle should have just picked back up. We ended up with a stop but the timeout completely took the energy out of the stadium and it could have done the opposite.

There was a point post-Juicy Wiggle where there was play stoppage, and some song I didn't recognize was played (not marching band) I looked at my friend and said "They _really_ should be playing 'Sandstorm' here." PA guy makes some type of promo announcement, and THEN they came back with Sandstorm.

This Gen-Xer will take over for canned music.

I left with 2 min left in the 3rd quarter so I didn’t see the tds. Pretty much 3 quarters felt hopeless, I can’t blame the fans

And that is the problem… juicy wiggle is only played in the second half after the first touchdown…why does it have to be that way?? There should be no prerequisites for that song to be played! If you get in a game where only field goals are made, you will never hear it because “that’s the way it works”. That is wrong! When you get your crowd into it, your players feed off that. Yes the product on the field was not great yesterday but man we could have pumped some energy in the stadium to get a little boost well before 2 minutes left in the game!! Lord knows we had plenty of opportunities with all the mentioned media time outs! And maybe, just maybe they could find another song or two that have that same result as Juicy Wiggle…Just trying to think outside the box here!!

Yes, but they didn't use a change of possession in early in the 3rd for a media time out and then crammed 3 together in the span of 10 minutes.

The constant media timeouts are ridiculous. They absolutely suck the life out of the stadium. I know they need them to pay the bills, but it just ruins the atmosphere to the point where it’s almost not enjoyable to even be at the game. At least if you watch from home you can flip over to another game for those 2 minutes and 35 seconds of hell.

Because it was a 3-and-out right out of halftime. When there's a change of possession that early (first 2-3 minutes) in a quarter/half, it's almost never a break.

TV timeouts kill any enthusiasm, people in the stands give two ##### what is advertised. they need to go to the 21st century and run ads on a scroll or go with picture in a picture. Blocked field goal and ensuing Iowa run shut people down, and lack of urgency on play calling frustrated fans. Day wasn't a total waste, as I dined at the Italian restaurant on 13th street!:eggplant:

A solution to a more energetic crowd is a competent offense.

I do agree though, whoever's in charge of the in-game entertainment is doing a horrible job. Yet again, they start playing the music for the intro as the Cyclone Power chant just gets started after the band does pre-game.

I love how losses always bring out, “It’s the fans fault” posts. I’ve always said that for a team of ISU’s history and current ability, the team actually needs to do something for the fans. There is only so much excitement you can maintain between constant 3 minute tv breaks when we aren’t moving the ball.

I know TV money drives all, but for ***** sake, we had a spot where Iowa called a TO, they turned into a TV break. We come back to an Iowa field goal, then go to a TV timeout. We get back and after kickoff, go to a TV timeout. We had almost half of a halftime to sit there and do nothing while seeing about 20 seconds of actual football.

Unless the decision was effectively made for him.
by who? The Big 12? Almost every other Big 12 school and many other major schools have their student sections directly behind the visiting team and there's haven't been moved.

Our student section maybe storms a field once every 2-3 years and that was the reasoning behind the move? Absolute bs
