RPI worked though. I think it's great that the NCAA has decided to utilize more advanced analytics but the new ranking system doesn't seem to put much into SOS. There has to be weight put into quality W's and bad losses or we will just be back to the old 20 wins and your in.

I don't understand why they needed to create a new system. There are good things about RPI and about Sagarin and Ken Pom. I don't know why the didn't just utilize what is already available. you can adjust RPI outliers with info from analytics.

Kenpom is rarely a miss as a litmus test. Current sitting at the 3rd best team in the B12 and in the 17th spot. What Kenpom looks at is much more than RPI and SOS based upon that RPI, but how bad did we thrash those team. I don’t care about SOS if we rolled all of those poor teams by 30-40 points.
This. We are rolling teams that we should roll by 30 or more. Not so much last year.

To me the real question is:

Will this make Bruce move all the way out to the lane to coach or can he remain playing 5-10 feet in from the coaches box?
Watch Jamie Dixon sometime. He and Bruce set the standard for confoundedness. All the while, Huggs sits there on his private stool glaring.

Let's be honest though, BW sets the standard for court roaming. No one brings the range and depth of court presence he does. I bet I can find 1/2 dozen instances where we was closer to a player than the defender.

Jamie definitely gets the Bryl Cream award.

BW has those little choppy steps and he doesn’t move his arms. Looks like one of those old Charlie Chaplin movies.

Why don't opposing players "run into" coaches. Wouldn't that help?
