Yikes! Are you guys still expecting to compete with Kansas for a championship or have expectations been dialed down to finishing .500 in the conference now?
Without Wade there's little chance K-State can even beat Ku once much less challenge for the B12 title. Damn shame.
Net rankings? Not trying to start a confrontation, but is this actually a legit metric? I've never heard of it before and they have San Francisco as the 20th best team in basketball?
Kansas has won 8 in a row and is 57-4 in the last 61 meetings. KSU isn't beating KU with or without Wade.
That’s true every year- it’s no Big 10 where you can find 8 easy wins a year.
To be fair you really haven't looked competitive with him, so Saturday could be a blood bath.
Not sure you can look at KStates schedule objectively and say its better than ISU. Much less 100 spots better in RPI.

Man, the new NCAA rankings formula puts very little weight into SOS. Our current RPI is 75... I will be curious to see how the new system handles mid majors vs P5 at large bids.
I agree douple digit conference wins should be the expectation for this ISU team and hope to contend in late Feb for the conference.
Not that I want to experience it but Oklahoma and Texas got in to the NCAA tourney with 8-10 Big 12 records last year. This year is trending to be an even weaker bubble w/ 1 bid leagues not having multiple teams likely to sneak in. Don't want to tempt fate with that type of record but very possible.
8 easy wins in the Big 10 won't get you anywhere, look at Nebraska last year.
K-State has certainly not played to expectations. Beating Penn was the best win, yes.
Yeah, it's odd, but it's what they're using, so we're in a good spot so long as we play up to our capability in the Big 12.
Lol, Im asking an honest question, I don't keep up on every little change in the off-season. Its December and people are just now starting to talk tourney.

Yeah I get it, we are sitting in a great spot. However, I can't say I agree with how the new ranking system is working though. It appears to put way to much weight into pure wins and losses and not enough weight into who you actually beat or lost too. I don't get why the NCAA completely went away from RPI because it was working.
Yeah, this is my first time learning about the new ranking system. We should be in pretty good shape if we can get to .500.
