The incredible thing is Okie State had Barry Sanders and Thurman Thomas at the same time. His 1988 season is probably the greatest single season performance of all time. I'm not sure any other opportunity would eclipse that.

That would be a good OT thread. Most stacked RB rooms ever in an individual season. The incredible thing is Okie State had Barry Sanders and Thurman Thomas at the same time.
Stadium is still there. The more interesting fact is Wichita St had football. Didn’t know that.
Koch brothers at one time were considering funding a revival IIRC.Stadium is still there.
edit: link to stadium wiki: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cessna_Stadium
edit edit: interesting the regents approved demolishing it and replacing it. So...why replace it? Maybe they are thinking of bringing FB back?
It would be interesting differentiate great college backfields (Dickerson/James) vs. RB Room. Like you said Miami was spectacular. USC was great with Reggie Bush & LenDale White. That would be a good OT thread. Most stacked RB rooms ever in an individual season.
Miami's has to be up there: Clinton Portis, Willis McGahee, Frank Gore.
I know at one time there was some talk. I did a quick search, it seems what I remember was from about 2016 from everything that came up in a search. The AD had posted some pics of a football helmet and marching band uniforms etc. and started a lot of speculation. Seems a lot of the stories and articles stem from that time.Koch brothers at one time were considering funding a revival IIRC.

It would be fun to look at USC, OU, UNL during the 70's/early 80's.
It was probably after midnight when mom "got" you...So that's where my mom got that?
Mike Rozier and Roger Craig overlapped at Nebraska.

31 when he announced retirement.Seemed to retire early. How old was he?
Ran for 10 years and retired when he secured his full pension. Tiki barber went after 8 since it was lowered from 10 to 8. Wonder if Barry would have left them also?Seemed to retire early. How old was he?
I almost added them, but I prefer to forget that Lawrence Phillips even existed.Ahman Green and Lawrence Phillips the same.
Phillips was out a lot from his own issues but that's a lot of football talent.
They were part of a killer stretch with roster overlap.Mike Rozier and Roger Craig overlapped at Nebraska.
Was that the year they went to a bowl game and all 3 of them were hurt so Walter Payton's kid played RB for that game? That may have been a year later, after Portis graduated. That would be a good OT thread. Most stacked RB rooms ever in an individual season.

Nope. Barry was more impressive and better.I beg your pardon......Troy Davis
I would love to see a high profile P5 program try to run the triple option. Army, Navy, AF and even Ga Tech have had some success over the last decade, but would be fun if a P5 in a recruiting rich area would try to run.At OU, and more consecutive than overlapping:
Greg Pruitt (1969-1972)
Joe Washington (1972-1975)
Billy Sims (1975-1979)
... ranked as the 5th, 3rd, and 2nd best all-time OU running backs, respectively, here:
