If he came here, we'd have to lose 2 scholarship players (NOT Bubu) or committments.

Like I said, it looks like someone you go after to replace Royce.

If I were to guess, they are recruiting him in case Royce leaves.

Nope, not Royce. Railey, Sledge or Booker I can see leaving before Royce.

How is it 50-50... He is not ready for the NBA.

Like that stops some of these guys? Fred can give Royce the best information he can, but it's still Royce's decision. Royce is a smart guy, but if we get hot in the tourney and all of a sudden guys are telling him he'll go in the first round? You never know for sure.

I really don't think it would be RW either.

That said...it's FH's issue to deal with and he is a smart cookie.

This kid looks ridiculous...and HE'S A LEFTY!!!! That makes him twice as difficult to deal with.

This kid is FILTHY! Quick hops, blocks everything. Imagine our defense next year IF we got him. This kid down low, Babb at the wing, length with Clyburn, and a quick guard in Lucious. We could be a really really good defensive team.

he is graduating and could do the transfer for the final year without sitting out like Jake Anderson did

Royce will be here next year. He has fell in love with Ames and feels comfortable here. This summer he will work on his free throws and develop a mid-range jumper. Top 10 pick in 2013.

I heard Phil Jackson is visiting ISU in a couple of weeks. What do we do with coach Hoiberg?

Phil will be Hoiberg's assistant. He will help manage the attitude of all the stud talent we have like he did with the Lakers and Bulls.

I saw the story on the front page and knew exactly where this thread would be going. Sometimes I read threads like this and think that we were better off when recruiting happened in relative obscurity away from the public eye.

Someone said Pelle and Niang for four years...if he was the #1 center in 2011, I have a hard time believing you would be able to keep him for 4 years.

If Fred can get him, great.

The best part is that he should be here for maybe the loudest and craziest game of the year (tossup with KU). Night tip, everyone is dying to cheer the guys on after their big win in Manhattan (even if they lose tomomrrow), and we send Scotty out in his last home game. He won't see a better atmosphere in visiting any of those other schools, that's for sure.

Two things.

1. On one of his first dunks, I think his belly button was level with the rim...good grief, talk about hops!

2. About Royce/NBA. I'm all for guys doing what they need to do. Normally, I get nervous (think Stinson, Blalock, etc) that "advisers" will whisper in their ear they'll get money, etc....then they don't have the opportunity they thought. With our guys, I'm confident Coach will shoot them straight based on his experiences as a former NBA-exec as well as his connections around the league.

Ok, I'm trying to stay in the moment because we have something pretty good going right now, but it's hard not to get a little excited about the thought of:

5-Pelle
4-Royce
3-Babb
2-Clyburn
1-Lucious

with Ejim, McGee, Percy and Niang off the bench.

That team would have the potential to be the best ever at ISU, imo.

Unlike the Morgan-Stinson/Blalock relationship, I feel like Fred is Royce's advisor.
