You know this after one game? I wasn't overly impressed with BDJ to be honest but it was just an exhibition game. Also, it's not really a fair comparison because they are different players but I'm not sure how Kane's game was limited? He was a point guard who could drive, dish, shoot the ball, post his man up, play defense, lead the offense, rebound, play solid defense...Am I missing something?

I'm fine with the fun and showboating, but I disapprove on account of style considerations. I always hated that pose dunk when Malone did it. Is he posing for the Swimsuit Issue, doing the sprinkler, what is that? If I was a Viterbo player and saw that I'd probably undercut him the next time he went up for a shot, but then again I have anger issues.

Fred's teams have fun, have swagger, but don't seem to ever be showing people up. There's nothing wrong with this. However, I am thankful for BDJ's dunk and the overreaction it was drawn out from a few people to distract me from football.

Agreed. If you want to get the crowd revved up, do an impressive dunk. Break out the tomahawk or a 360. That was style over substance. At least do a reverse dunk or something.

By extension, if his only focus is to create a highlight-moment with a showboat dunk, to the detriment of the team, that's a concern.

Exhibition game? No problem. Kinda lame in a real game. Like I said, at least add a little flair to it and not some lame pose. Looks kinda silly.

I wasn't really fond of the showboating. To me, there is a huge difference in showboating the way he posed versus doing a reverse dunk or something of that nature. I don't mind a bit of showboating but to me, this one showed way to much cockyness and arrogance.

Kinda off topic but this topic is stupid anyway so I don't mind derailing. Anyone see Ellis' interview at big 12 media days? I was expecting someone well spoken and intelligent, boy was I wrong. He is one dumb human being. He had the mindset of a middle schooler.
