I'm not sure why a fan of a program that used to beat the ever loving dog **** out of us can't figure out why we despise that program. Now that we're not the doormat program we used to be, it's been even better when the Huskers can't even get to .500.
The point is Nebraska has not been good for two decades. Had some decent teams in the 2000s but never the same after CU embarrassed them.
Kinda sad to see this kind of insecurity out of fans of such a storied franchise.

Pelini was a weirdo but a good coach. That was quite the misstep to let him go considering the stuff Osbourne was allowed to do.
What vote was that? An AAU status vote? Wasn’t that after you left? The only vote I remember Nebraska fans whining about was moving the conference football championship to Dallas. What about the equal revenue sharing vote? If I remember correctly Nebraska, Oklahoma, Texas, and Texas A&M voted against that when it needed 9 votes to pass.
Man, that game was so fun. I remember watching the first half at home up in NW IA. My brother ad I left at half time to head down to Ames so we could hit the student lot bright and early the next day for the Iowa game. When we left we both still though Nebby would find a way but listening to the 2nd half in the car was an absolute blast, they answered every time the Huskers even had a glimmer of hope.

62 wins/ 60 losses over the last 10 years in one of the worst divisions in football with one season with a winning record since 2015.
It's too bad that CU's attendance is so marginal any more because as they showed, they could make that place into a hornets' nest.
CU was rolling at the end of that season and they went bonkers that afternoon. As a non-fan of either team it was really fun to watch.
You would? I personally think the huskers be our 4th easiest game on our schedule behind Kansas and our 2 non cons. I have watched multiple games in the Scott frost era and you guys have absolutely zero identity on offense. Your defense is full of dudes who talk crap after making a tackle 14 yards downfield. Your squad commits stupid penalties I mean some of the worst I’ve seen, just boneheaded. You can’t expect a team to have discipline when the head coach has none. But bring it on Little Red.
Last time Nebraska fans were in Ames, I was assaulted by a Nebraska fan while I was recovering from ACL surgery and in a knee immobilizer. **** Nebraska fans forever and always.
You voted against revenue sharing when a member of the Big 12. Then left for the Big Ten and praised them for having equal revenue sharing. Nebraska can’t compete unless they have a tremendous advantage.

Don’t kid yourself, Nebraska has earned every bit of disdain that outsiders have for their program. You think people forgot how they used to run up the score and make fun of everyone else when they used to have the ability to do so? Not a chance.
For those of us that had to deal with the Omaha media in the 90s treating the Huskers as if they played their games at Rosenblatt, while all but ignoring that a large portion of their market is in another state with other interests and treating every loss like a soul crushing death of a family member, it was easy to hate on them. That hate continues to this day, now that they have hit the floor and clamor desperately for those glory days. It is an enigma that we cannot help but follow.
On the other side, any remnant of those glory days that pops its head out of the ground is quickly advertised to celebrity status. I watched KLKN-TV go live almost immediately after UCF won their bowl game and wait for the announcement of Frost as Nebby's head coach.......and wait........and wait.......and wait, with filler of live commentary and old Frost QB highlights and interviews. Finally, after 45 minutes, they gave up and went back to regular programming. It was comedic to me.
Having said that, after having lived in Lincoln for the better part of 14 years, there are a select few that have respect for ISU and the Big XII and long for those days. Who knows where they could have wound up if they hadn't bolted to the B1G.
I don’t mind either one of them- we have owned Texas for the last three years and have ran even for the last 5 with choke-lahoma. They’re just another game on our schedule for us to win as far as I’m concerned.
They’re both going to have a lot in common with Nebraska in a couple of years: finishing 5th in their division every year, with 4 or 5 conference losses each year…but at least you’re all getting paid to take those whippings every Saturday.
