Buddy Guy in OKC 2010 Even at 70+ years old can still kill it on guitar and is still running around the stage and out in the audience.

In no particular order:

Social D-When Wolfmother opened, but Social D has been great all 3 or 4 times I have seen them.

Offspring-At Toad Holler in the fall of 97, I was in the first few rows. They brought their A game and it's awesome being so close in a small venue.

The Killers-At Uptown Theatre in KC, just after Hot Fuss came out. They played the first 4 or 5 tracks from Hot Fuss consecutively to start the show and broke into a Pink Floyd cover during "All These Things That I've Done". Probably the best show I've been to, great venue as well.

Honorable Mention:

KISS/Ted Nugent at Hilton, was cool to see KISS on their farewell tour. I think they have had 4 or 5 since then. Probably more of a novelty vote.

Stone Temple Pilot at Lazerfest.

A7X/Stone Sour

Sleeper:

Blue October at Simon Estes. Great venue, was an awesome night and spur of the moment decision to go.

I'm probably forgetting some because I've been to so many. First concert I went to was when I was 16 (I think). I saw Hootie and The Blowfish at Hilton. Some older couple gave me a wrist band so I was able to buy beer. -csb

Worst concert:

Dave Matthews at Hilton during college, actually nodded off during the show.

I've seen so many shows its really hard to say. For perfection in playing and singing I'd have to say The Eagles. Their harmonies are second to none. Most entertaining show? Alice Cooper. For sheer enjoyment I'd say seeing Grand Funk Railroad with the original lineup. My favorites based on how many times I've seen them? REO Speedwagon (12 times), Styx (9 times), Kansas (11 times).

I agree that there are some great bands that others have seen (as have I). Fleetwood Mac, Paul McCartney, Bob Seger, Foreigner (original lineup), The Doobie Brothers, Tom Petty, Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young, Clapton, Chicago Transit Authority (now Chicago), Thorogood, Heart, Jefferson Airplane, Chase, Martina McBride, and the list goes on and on. I'm very fortunate and lucky to have seen the bands I've seen.

Mine would be the first Edgefest in Omaha, September 1995 in the infield at Aksarben. RIP 101.9 the edge, that may have been the best station ever.

The Urge
Violent Femmes
Phunk Junkeez
Some others I can't remember

Lots of memories from that concert. Was very front during 311 and had to rescue a girl who was laying passed out in the middle of a mosh pit. Lots of other stories I better not post on here as well. But it was a crazy day for a 17 year old kid.

And I saw the 94 show of Pink Floyd. I was an usher and had to keep people from climbing over the wall onto the fence. N0 one even tried so I just watched the show.

Tenacious D! Smaller venue (some kind of theatre/auditorium?) with about 2000 people, mostly standing. Everyone singing/yelling all lyrics. It was great.

Worst concert:

Dave Matthews at Hilton during college, actually nodded off during the show.

Agree w/ you on Dave. Went to see him in Chicago around 2000, and it was really boring. A big letdown after listening to the earlier live albums.

I went to the Petty show weekend before last at Firefly. Was a great show! He is getting pretty old but sounds the same as he always did. I wanted to hit that Minneapolis show but couldn't talk my girlfriend into the drive. He's certainly the headliner at major festivals for a reason this summer.

Top Shows (not in exact order):

Petty- Firefly 2013
The Killers- Firefly 2012
Jack White- Firefly 2012
Stevie Wonder- Bonnaroo 2010
Arcade Fire- Bonnaroo 2011
Yeah Yeah Yeahs (right before Petty)- Firefly 2013
Black Keys- Bonnaroo 2011 & Firefly 2012
Jay Z- Bonnaroo 2010 (He and Nas are only rap artist that's good live IMHO, I heard Kayne is good live but never caught him)
Vampire Weekend- Firefly 2013
Weezer- Bonnaroo 2010
Red Hot Chili Peppers- Firefly 2013
Florance+ The Machine- Bonnaroo 2013
Jay-Z with Coldplay- New Years 2013
My Morning Jacket- Bonnaroo 2011
Avett Bros- Firefly 2013
Flaming Lips- Bonnaroo 2010
Petty- 2004, 2006, 2008 @ Merriweather Post
any OAR show pre 2006 (maybe its just cause their from my area but they really could put on a good show back then)

Obviously im a big festival guy, I dont know maybe atmosphere does a lot for me. I would have loved to see McCartney at Roo this year, 2.5 hour set of hits! I had to decide between Roo or Firefly this year so since it was a lot closer to home I went to firefly. It was ALOT more people than its first year and there are some things they need to improve on (for example the water filling stations were really far apart) but I think they will get it together after a couple more years. I think I'm going to wait for Killers to be at Bonnaroo before I go back (fingers are crossed for next year) but I'm seeing them with Gogol Bordello and Queens of the Stone Age on Aug. 3rd at Cricket Wireless in KC. Anyone who hasn't seen them really needs too.

Any Jimmy Buffett Concert is amazing! The outdoor ones are more fun, but they're all great. Its like a huge party where everybody gets along, its almost impossible not to have a great time unless you're trying really hard.
