The thing I loved about Clark was - he created many of his dunks. The places he came from on rebounds to just throw the thing down was nuts. Shot...clank...DUNK - outta nowhere.

I don't know if he's the best and I'm not sure there is a right/wrong answer, but I will forever miss Clark's ability to know where the ball was going to come off, put himself in the right spot, knife through, elevate (and I mean elevate) and then throw the thing down.

I'm sorry, but I have to say that anyone who picked someone other than Rashon Clark is simply wrong.

No human being to strap on the cardinal and gold has ever been a more prolific, energetic, or straight up exciting dunk machine than Rashon Clark.

Coming in a very distant second is Cato, but that's mostly because the man dunked a basketball the way Lou Ferigno burst through styrofoam walls.

I think Gilstrap's dunks on Aldrich will be lost and that's truly sad.

Put that game (if we win) in a winning season and those two dunks are tied with Fizer's dunk over Mihm.

Gilstrap dunked not once but twice directly in the grill of one of the best big men in the league who fruitless effort to block him was pathetic. It's just sad that losing the game and having a cruddy season completely knocks those dunks way down the ranking.

Well my favorite dunk in ISU history that i saw live was Mike Taylor's dunk @ Nebraska

Exactly

The reverse fast break two handed rebound put back dunk in the Cap City league was the best dunk Ive ever seen in my life.

He did not play much, but Norman Brown was a highlight show back in the Orr era. Think Rashawn but w/o the steady PT.

Norm was one of the first guys I ever recall being rated (not much recruiting news back in the late 80's).

He had a follow up against Indiana in 1991(I believe) that is among my all time favorites.

Seldom-used David Hickman could throw down pretty well. I would say best pure dunker was Clark. Best dunk was Fizer over Mihm. And Cato's backdoor ally-oops were always fun, but he loses points in my book simply for his height. Anyone 6'10" or taller should dunk everytime they are near the rim. Which leads me to my vote for worst dunker- Loren Meyer. He missed too many point-blank layins when he should have just dunked it.

I wish someone would have told Justin Hamilton it's okay for 6-11 dudes to dunk when they are inside of 3 feet.

Side note: Loren Meyer came to my high school for a summer camp back in the early 90's and put on one of the more impressive dunking performances I've ever seen at the end of camp one day. The best was a running start from about 1/2 court where he took off with his heel just inside the free throw line. Not bad for a big white dude from Ruthven, Iowa.

I respect your opinion but I don't agree with it.

Good to see some older school guys get some love...Norman Brown could elevate. A couple of guys that were good dunkers I have not seen mentioned were Mal Warrick and Robert Estes.
