Thanks for the work Chris.
I cannot believe this site is free.

Thanks for the kind words. We couldn't do it without all of our awesome sponsors like Wilson Toyota who allow us to cover events like this.

Also, some awesome people own CF. It is so great to work for people who let you do your job. I think that we are building something pretty special here and we'll keep working our butts off for all of you.

To be honest, I am really glad that I went because Iowa State deserves the coverage. CF and the Des Moines Register were the only ISU media outlets there today. You have newspapers fly in all of the way from towns like Lubbock and College Station but ISU only has 2 media outlets in KC, which is 3 hours away. I get that the economy is rough and the last thing I'll do is blame our local beat writers, radio people, etc...They have NO control over it and I'm sure they would have been there if they could have. This business is hurting in a bad way right now and I have sympathy for that. For instance, I wasn't down in Dallas for football stuff last summer. I wanted to be there but it wasn't in the cards at the time. Because of great sponsors like Wilson Toyota, etc., we are able to go do things like this*and bring you Iowa State content for FREE.

I REALLY wish that I could have covered the women yesterday but couldn't get down there until today. I admittedly dropped the ball on that one.

But if nobody else is going to step up to the plate and cover the Cyclones, we will. I REALLY wish that I could have covered the women yesterday but couldn't get down there until today. We dropped the ball on that one.

Thats great. It really helps those of us who live out of state to have such a great site to get all this info from.

This is why it is so important for people to thank our sponsors and give them business when possible. I'm not forcing anybody to go buy a suit at Mr. B or to go buy a Toyota from Wilson. Just keep these fine people in mind and if you happen to stop in, thank them for helping support this website.

I'll be eating Planet Sub next week.

And yes, there's sort of a coupon involved.

It has basically come to down to if ISU fans want the coverage (spotlight) all programs so desperately need, they are going to have to provide it themselves. Sad, but the local media has shown the past 6 months they do not realize the mutual effect of having a positive relationship with ISU.

Having a growing media outlet like CF is huge. How great would it be if CF grew to a point where it teamed up with Mediacom to provide The CF Network. Dream big, right?
Disappointed in Cyclone Report for not going.

Don't say it too loudly. They might forget and keep it this way.

As soon as I get out of school, I will be a donor. In the past I have thought that spending my discretionary income on a site like CF or CR would have been better going to the AD. I now think ensuring ISU has a voice validates a donation.

Fred Hoiberg's first year as coach in the big 12 is a big story, glad to see you get the "scoop" here. I also think the the idea of media parterships in the future are intriguing - there is no way some of the traditional outlets can keep up with the web and the speed of the reporting you do and the instant reaction from its readers, if you can't beat em buy em...or at least pay you to do their reporting for them.

How the crap is KU ranked so high this year? They lost Aldrich, Collins, and X Henry.

Yes, they do reload. But most have them as a top 10 team and a final 4 contender. I don't see it.

Every pre-season there are only a handful of teams who you can logically say have the squads to be Final Four contenders. Of course, there are always surprises either way, but the pre-season thought was sound.
Why not KU on this list? Who would you replace KU with?

Hasn't KU had at least a share of the title in 10 of 14 years of the Big 12?

If I were in the business of making predictions I'd pick them first in the conference every single year until they had a 4-5 year stretch of not winning it. Until then it's almost silly to pick anyone else first.

I'd pick Nebraska last every year for the same reason, takes a special kind of bad to never win a single NCAA tourney game. Why would you stray from a golden easy prediction like that.

Wow! I cant believe that.
You do a hell of a job Chris. We all appreciate it! I have no doubt that good things will come your way!

P.s. I will always choose a CF sponsor over a non-CF sponsor if I'm in the market for one of those products.
