I think it's fair to say it would be better if the opposing team and students didn't cross paths in a field storm and not have that labeled as an over-reaction. IDK if it's worth moving them or not, that's for some risk-assessment person in the AD to decide, but I can see why they would want to change that up.

I've been pro-moving the students since ISU switched sides of the field for this exact reason.

I just don't want the students to be moved into my section (section 1) because my kids like to go on the hillsides to play during the game.

To be honest, my favorite option is to put the students in 23-28 and 14-19 around the Sukup End Zone seats. Think you could get some really nice chants going (e.g. Cyclone Power) as well as volume by having them on both sides of the field. Just seems more logistically challenging to do that.

I sit in section T and do not want the students in the SE sections.

I've heard 'confronting', but what exactly did the kid do?
I did not see the incident, only going by JP's presser, he has no reason to acknowledge incident if he wasn't sure it happened, and the kid was arrested so.....

Thats interesting but that doesn’t seem like a very good idea.

I don't think they will push students to the west side at all, because of where the public/student tailgating lots are. I wonder if they will try to push students toward using the pedestrian bridge (when complete) for safety reasons, which leads directly the east gate, currently the student gate as it is.

If the students move because of field-storming concerns, the SE corner is the easy answer.

What’s the point of that security on the field if they don’t stop that!?

This is from a 1985 game program (h/t to that thread). "S" = student section. Basically where they are now, plus sections in the lower SE corner.

I spent my 5 seasons as a student in Section "O". Could nail the center of the field with an orange on a consistent basis! (Yeah, I needed 4.5 years thanks to somehow missing a required class, so I decided to get a double major.)
