This team can still win the Big 12 tourney. Stinks to lose back to back games but last year's team was 10-6 in conference at one point. They are fully capable to make noise in March. Not chugging the Kool-Aid anymore but haven't tossed it out yet.

If I'm any other team in the Big 12, I am praying morning, noon, and night to face ISU. Everyone else in the conference is getting better daily.

Last year's team lost back to back games against Baylor and K-State near the end of the season then won 6 in a row. Most people on this site liked our chances to win more than 6 in a row if Niang doesn't get hurt. We will be fine.

The problem is we didnt lose those games with mental blunders. Im not giving up on this team, but the mental toughness is no where near as great as it was last year.

One positive - Thanks to Tech beating Okie State, pretty certain we're mathematically eliminated from playing Wednesday.

3 days of glory!

This is a completely different situation. We should have won these last 2 games and instead we choked them both away and looked like **** when we could have been competing for a conference title. We just haven't learned anything since the start of the season. We just keep letting ourselves get burned by not playing defense and choking away leads. The Oklahoma game is going to define how we finish this season.

But that's not true - because it was self inflicted mistakes in some of those games. People sensationalize everything - the good and the bad. No one going into the tournament gave us a shot to win it because of how ISU played.

This team, thus far, has not closed games like last year's team did - that much is accurate. Both teams had flaws tho and last year's team found their best play at the perfect time.

I am encouraged this team will do the same. Last few weeks have been one helluva grind.

This thread feels like football season where right after a loss someone would post a thread that we still have a chance of getting to a bowl game.

Agreed.

this isn't a full meltdown post, but the frustration for me with this group is just how sloppy, dumb and lazy we play. The Niang pass, the Niang stopping two feet from half court getting a 10 second, Hogues pass and play lately....BDJ.....Nader disappearing, etc.

And by god....who knows what mood BDJ is in game to game. I don't fully fault our starters when we get absolutely zero from Nader, Thomas, and BDJ....like we did tonight. Even when we were up...I sent a text to a buddy that said...'They'll come back...our bench gives us nothing....we usually lose'.

I still think this team is a sweet 16 team talent wise....but no further because we mentally just don't have it....don't have that killer mentality.

Im not sure how we get it at this point.....but we just look like a team that thinks it can either show up and win, shoot their way to victory, or can make dumb plays and get away with it.

CFH....this isn't a blast...but look...that freelance and freedom is awesome when it works, when it doesn't...it looks terrible...please call more sets when things get tight...please.

get it together guys.....you guys have such potential.
